I found the Batman 1992 (30653) polybag at Toys R Us. My local store had no shortage of them and I bought more than one. Who knows? Maybe I’ll do a giveaway in the future when the product retires and becomes hard to find. In any case, while most of the Summer 2023 Batman sets hit store shelves in August, this one is out now along with the Batcave Shadowbox. From what I can tell in the images, the Shadowbox Batman minifigure is the same as the polybag version. Both differ from the Batman minifigs coming in August, which look more like a standard Batman minifig with some ’89-esque printing. Polybag Specifics

Batman stands at an angle, fitted on a 1x2 rounded plate. The position of the minifigure looks great, but the rounded plate can easily be detached accidentally when removing Batman. The base is otherwise faultless though and there is even a clip for another Batarang, although I am not sure why this is necessary.LEGO fans have much to look forward to with the upcoming release of the LEGO Winter Fun VIP Add-on 40610. This unique promotional offering adds more fun to your LEGO winter collection and promises to spur your imagination to build more holiday-themed creations. It’s incredible that this relatively rare and expensive cowl is now available in a polybag that’s about the same price as a latte (or even cheaper, depending on where you live), which is a big step in making one of the most interesting and unique Batman cowls accessible to the masses. There’s also a clip on the model, which seems like an errant element, but could possibly hint at more rooftop sections to come featuring more Batman characters, hopefully in this affordable polybag format too. After revealing a nice and cost-effective way to have an MCU-inspired LEGO Doctor Strange minifigure a few days ago, fans of these collectibles will be glad to know that there are more LEGO polybags 2023 that will arrive any time soon. However, the moulded detail on the combined cape and cowl element remains unaltered, with sharp lines around the eyes and texture on the cape. The transition between the cowl and the cape looks particularly striking, as the material appears to change. Furthermore, the shape of the cape works perfectly for a minifigure on display, as though billowing in the wind. I definitely want to see more incredible minifigures like this 1992 Batman be available in more accessible and budget-friendly formats like this polybag, so hopefully LEGO see how well-received this polybag is. The Kai and Rapton Minifigures looks great and both have something worth mentioning. Kai has double-sided face printing, a standard face on one side and a masked face on the other, the all-over red hood piece is also a nice accessory to have.

Earlier this year, I published a review of 30652 Doctor Strange's Interdimensional Portal and commented that the most satisfying polybags include a desirable minifigure beside a creative model. 30653 Batman 1992 is an excellent example, especially for the minifigure, which is only available in 76252 Batcave - Shadow Box, outside this polybag. And yes, in case you were wondering, the minifigure is identical to the Batman from 76252 Batcave Shadow Box, which is pretty insane when you think about it. It may be a little hard to find, as polybag distributions aren’t the most consistent, but if you manage to spot one at your local LEGO Store, or if you’re in the US and are close to a Target or Barnes & Noble, I’d definitely recommend getting this, especially if you plan on skipping the Batcave Shadow Box. On the other hand, the LEGO Group seemingly had enough leftover Michael Keaton Batman minifigures to bring us 854235 Batman Keyring in 2022, so this polybag could be another way to offload remaining supplies of that character (who also appeared in 2020’s 76161 1989 Batwing). We’ll hopefully find out one way or the other fairly soon. I don’t tend to touch much LEGO Ninjago related stuff, although I do appreciate their creativity and great looking sets, it’s just I’m not that into it as a theme.

This small but mighty Polybag is perhaps the highlight of my year so far and perhaps that of many ither AFOLs ( adult fan of LEGO). It contains a Batman Minifigure with the very rare and sought-after Moulded Cape piece, only ever seen in 2 previous (pricey) sets. Keep an eye on your local LEGO or other hobby stores if you wish to be the first to have this LEGO Marvel Doctor Strange 2023 polybag. More updates on this polybag coming soon. The polybag offering also features a microscale version of the portals that Doctor Strange creates, together with a pretty clever micro build to give perspective on what’s on the other side of the portal. Each of these small sets has had its own theme, often drawing inspiration from the seasons. In the case of winter, we now have the privilege of seeing a second polybag offering. This set stands out from its predecessor, the LEGO Winter Wonderland VIP expansion set 40514 from 2021, with its distinctive composition and fewer Trans-Light Blue elements for crafting icy landscapes.Polybags are great, they’re extremely affordable and make for a great entry point into the World of LEGO. The LEGO Marvel Doctor Strange’s Interdimensional Portal (30652) polybag comes in at 44 pieces. It features a minifigure version of Doctor Strange that can also be found on other Multiverse of Madness sets, such as the Gargantos Showdown (76205) and the Sanctum Sanctorum (76218). It’s small, but a really usable and practical build as it serves as a nice little display pedestal for Batman. Even though build time is not really a thing with this polybag, you nonetheless get a small structure to assemble. It is a little display base for Batman. The gargoyle on it is identical to those on the display bases for the 1989 Batmobile, the 1989 Batwing, and the Batmobile Tumbler. Consequently they display well near each other. However, they do not connect, which would be a neat feature. You can modify them easily enough so they all line up though. This particular base would look better if it had a consistent look and texturing all around. With that said this is certainly a nice display base. Let’s go with 90% for the build.
