You can normally see it out of the corner of your eye, but it’s easier to spot if you brush in front of a mirror. If you use this 3D cleaning toothbrush on a regular basis you will achieve the best oral health. This toothbrush guarantees comprehensive cleaning by stimulating your gums. Unlike other electric toothbrushes, Oral-B Pro 2000 holds some unique features. It looks classy and has a sleek handle that makes for a comfortable grip.

Technically at least though, the Pro 3 – 3000 is the superior and arguably ‘better’ toothbrush. However, in practice, the differences are subtle and don’t make the Pro 3 an absolute must buy over the Pro 2. After 2 minutes the alert changes slightly to tell you that you have brushed for long enough. Unlike some brushes, the Pro 2 doesn’t power off automatically. This may be a disappointment to some, but it’s not a big issue. The Oral-B Pro 650 comes in at a lower price point and thus sacrifices some of the features of the Oral-B Pro 2 2500. The main one for me is the pressure sensor. Pressing too hard with a toothbrush can lead to gum recession and tooth wear. The Oral-B Pro 2 2500 has a pressure sensor that flashes red when you are pressing too hard. This will mean that you will use the brush at just the right pressure. There is no difference in speed/power of the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 and Oral-B Pro 650. Is the Oral-B Pro 2 2500 waterproof? In my hands-on testing I achieved a little over 10 days with the 1000, but a whole 3 extra days with the 2000. If the Oral-B Genius is an Audi, the Oral-B PRO 2 2000N is a Skoda. Same company with so much value for the money.The fundamental and MOST IMPORTANT difference between the Pro 2000 and Pro 4000 series of brushes, is in fact that the Pro 4000 series is capable of giving a better (or faster or more effective) cleaning performance than the Pro 2000 series.

It is a more secure and tidy place to store additional or replacement brush heads. Sadly, the Pro 2 does not come with this. Both brushes come supplied with 1 brush head in the box. Most of the time this is a CrossAction brush head with either model. However, the Pro 2 2000 may come supplied with a 3D White or Sensi UltraThin brush head.

Built-in Timer

Where the Smart 4 perhaps stands out more, is the Whitening mode, which could potentially be more effective at removing surface stains on the teeth and helping them to look whiter than they once were. The 3D white head is designed to help polish stains on the exterior of the teeth and make the teeth appear whiter, whilst the Sensi UltraThin is a softer bristled head that pairs well with the Sensitive cleaning mode available on the Pro 2 2000. To access this additional mode, you have to press the power button an extra time each time you use the toothbrush. The Pro 2 defaults to the daily clean mode. The Pro 2 2000 comes with a CrossAction, Sensi UltraThin or 3D White brush head compared to the CrossAction of the Pro 1000.

A piece of gloss white plastic, it clips around the provided charging stand and essentially offers 2 prongs either side, onto which a single brush head can be placed.It should be noted, that the brush heads supplied with either the Pro 2 2000 or 3 – 3000 can differ. Most common is the CrossAction or 3D White brush head. But there are a few different options. The slight downside is that the textured rubber surface makes it easier for toothpaste residue to build up. Without regular cleaning, I have found a white coating appears.
