Its TABLE FUNCTION makes graph work a cinch. No more tedious, error-prone evaluation of functions. This obviously means that more time is spared to teach the Math behind the graph.

The fx-82l variation came fitted into a hard plastic case which completely enclosed it protecting it well. This time, Casio had realised that the batteries never ran out, so this model had them fixed inside the machine. You could replace them, but it involved taking the machine apart. That is marvelous and insane. It does occur to me that since this is very clearly a mask-rom CPU that's understandably being used in several products, that almost certainly there's a pin or two that's tied high or low to configure it. Rewiring that pin would be an awful lot easier.However, I see it's a chip-on-board, which may make that impossible. Anyway yeah, someone figuring outthat buffer overflow is beyond crazy. So anyways I got a Casio fx-82MS 2nd edition and a 100MS. Unfortunately these are the ones which are all patched up. I came across this situation recently and ended up with a screen which I guess needed a secret code to access. Maybe these are only for the Devs. Even more amazing is how its easy-to-use STATISTICS menu crunches data. It is so much fun that I perform statistical analyses of almost any data I come across. This of course means that I can explain better the meanings of these analyses. There are no "correct" emulator of any calculator, that I can extract the ROM and expect it to be "reasonably similar" to the ROM of the real calculator.

Its display of input and results expressions is exactly as in textbooks. Add this to its unabbreviated icon menu, additional set of functions and a high-resolution LCD screen and I would not ask for a more interactive, user-friendly, versatile classroom friend.And then, after opening a hole on the calc case, pass the cables (flat cable was my choice) and solder them to a connector. Care must be taken with the names, or you'll have to redo all the config_key.sh file to match the code and the atmega board. Hey, Jim! I know it’s been two years and you probably forgot, but, do you remember if you managed to solve either matrixes or vectors on your fx-82ms? I'm an owner of several Casio calculators, all from the fx-82MS series. In Spain (where I live) they are very common because they are really cheap.
