And that is because it’s been in front of us all along - in the pupils of every Psion you’ve got close to, or a squished form being to the right of Nimbus' headshots, a Neomunan visual motif. He has Living Firewalls providing him with shields, so kill them first along with the adds. Make sure to jump out of the way of the huge Deletion Walls and hit him while his shield is down. You'll need to rinse and repeat this a few times and the adds get stronger with each round. His rule stagnated over the centuries. He lost sight of what he wanted to do, and he just kind of fell into a comfortable stupor and malaise that blinded him to everything (even a Coup sprouting right beneath his feet) and stole his spirit away. Calus seems the type of man to only think on the now. He sets his sights on something, and he gets it because he wants it, but he never sits down to think on why he wants it. It's as if the destination doesn't matter at all, and the only thing that is important is the thrill of the chase. The thrill of working towards something that makes him feel like he has finally found purpose. Like he is finally living up to the potential he feels that he has. Like he is actually achieving something that he can be proud of and fulfilled by. During some looks of Disciple Calus that we have seen, his skin - especially on his hands and feet - is golden. This could just be an aesthetic choice, indicating his grasp and what he’s touched and been touched by - an equivalent to the Darkhold’s smokey fingers in the MCU. The Witness took away his people's soul, and gave him shiny golden bodies in exchange. So that they can pretend to be something they aren't, just like their Emperor.

On the first mission of Lightfall, he sends out a message to the Shadow Legion boasting about the benefits that their partnership with the Witness was already bringing them. I believe he actually deluded himself into thinking he and the Witness were equals. Equal thinkers, equal leaders, equal philosophers and visionaries. He certainly did not see himself as a slave, which is what he actually ended up becoming.Aaaaand while I'm speaking about nanotech I'll say that before Seraph I strongly believed Willa Bray would be on Neomuna. After Seraph I'm much less confident in that, but hey it's worth mentioning. When all six Guardians are in the throne room, they need to stand on the same plate and begin a damage phase on Calus. Before that plate runs out of power, move to the next one, as Calus tends to blow up the plate you’re on when it’s out of juice. Move to the next plate as a team and continue to deal damage.

Note: During this Standard collection process, do not kill any of the Standard Bearers that do not correlate to the symbols in reality. This is very obnoxious, as they’re all snipers and will be trying to kill your teammates while you’re in the shadow realm. However, you still have a timer in the shadow realm, and you’ll lose time if you kill the wrong Standard Bearer. Two members of your team will be chosen as course runners, and typically this would be the two lowest Power level Guardians you have, allowing the higher Power level Guardians to stay outside and do the shooting, where their Power is put to good use. Of course, you must make sure that the course runners are trustworthy and agile, so consider carefully. While the course runners are inside the obstacle course, four members of your fireteam will be outside and standing on pillars. Each pillar will have one of the four symbols: Sun, War Dog/Dog, Axes and Chalice/Cup.
