And they say romance is dead. i still don't love the writing style being so drawn out and overly complicated. it was never difficult to read (whereas book one i think it slightly was) but this book uses such big words and drawn-out turns of phrase to describe really simple things. i felt it worked in some places but really flopped in others.My jaw was on the floor. I was screaming, crying and throwing up anytime these two were together. THE FACT THAT HE CALLS HER ANGEL?????? Mafi gives vivid voice to an underrepresented audience in this story. The teens’ rich personalities, desires, powerful emotions and struggles come together to form a memorable work. This book was what I needed. No honestly after reading the first book I thought this one would be disappointing too but guys this book was ᴇᴠᴇʀʏᴛʜɪɴɢ ( ͡❛ ₃ ͡❛). the plot. i was complaining to my friend earlier today about this book and when she asked me what even is the plot of the book i fr couldnt answer. alizeh becoming the queen of jinn? yeah maybe. alizeh & co fighting the devil? can be. there are little pieces here and there but there is no one big, interesting plot that would make this whole book worth reading. idk maybe the author wanted to focus on romance rather than the plot but if that’s the case then… i have already made my opinion on the romance aspect known lol. for how much i was looking forward to this, not a whole lot happened. we still have a long way to go to get to the meat of the plot we were promised, which is so confusing because i feel like the synopsis of book one hasn't even been fully explained or realized. i'm definitely going to keep reading on because i do like the angst this book introduced and i'm starting to become more invested in cyrus and alizeh. but i guarantee by the time the next book comes out i will have forgotten all the details and will be even more confused than i am now on how jinn and the devil and the romance and prophecies and lost queens and shit all fit together. Similar to my experience with TWK, Alizeh’s chapters in this book were more interesting than Kamran’s—partly because of her interactions with this new setting and partly because of her banter with Cyrus (the king of Tulan). Compared with its prequel, the dialogue between all characters in These Infinite Threads is more engaging.

Tahereh Mafi said that the song 🎶 Die for You by the Weeknd 🎶 is made for book three and I believe she meant it's made for CyrusAlizeh.

throughout this book it felt like nothing happened at all now there might be possible spoilers ahead beware!! alizeh and cyrus were together throughout right but it’s like did they really go through all that in the span of one day?? they hate each other then start feeling things for each other then fight and all that stuff in the span of a day?? pls tell me i misread cause in kamrans pov it’s was like a week?? wait no i’m not so sure for kamran i didn’t pay much attention during his pov Alizeh, the heir to the Jinn throne, is destined to free her people from the half-lives they’ve been forced to live under human rule.
