Certain parts of the game involve arcade puzzles. There is a short Bubble Dizzy level, a shooting game, and some slide puzzles that'll get you a nifty extra life if you get it right! The evil wizard Zaks casts a spell on the Yolkfolk and kidnaps Dizzy's girlfriend Daisy. It is up to Dizzy to undo Zaks' doings and rescue Daisy from the castle in the clouds.

Lots of items are just laying about, close to the place where they are used. Of course, not all of them - there are items you have to carry a long way before you can use them - but some are just too close. To free Denzil you need a bit of wood and a match - OK, the match is found quite far away, but the wood is almost next to Denzil's hut. For me it seems too many items are just scattered about and too few are won through actions. The gameplay followed the same route as previous Dizzy games, allowing the titular egg to carry up to 3 items at once to solve various puzzles.

Strangely, it seems Dizzy himself is the only one unaffected, so it is up to him to gather the required stars, travel to Zak's castle, and save Daisy!
