also, the title is absolutely genius and i never would've been able to come up with it myself, and the cover is stunning. i kind of wish that they gave an explanation as to why she does turn invisible but i do undersstand that it's a metaphor for finding yourself but IDC IDC ANN LIANG SUPREMACY. it's clear that a profound love and respect exist between them, creating a beautiful bond that resonates throughout the pages. Following the ceremony she literally falls into a situation that triggers the power to make her invisible. In If You Could See the Sun, a girl goes into business with her rival by monetizing her sudden invisibility power so she can afford the tuition to their elite boarding school.

Like this book gave of kind of Disney and Pixar vibes with the way it was written and how the characters acted and I loved every second of it! When I saw the cover and read the blurb that mentions a Chinese American girl who is aspiring, brilliant scholarship student monetizes her power to pay her school fees, I expected to read something more dramatic, depressing and sad. I really wish we could’ve gotten his POV because I really really want to see what his thoughts were during certain situations! and i really hope this deliverss cuz im a kdrama obsessed girrlie, and if this disappoints im coming for your soul.

there was a time in hs when i also broke down in front of a history/social studies teacher because i thought i did bad on a test. i would rather spend the rest of this train ride fighting with him than let him be alone with his thoughts and fears again. let me just tell you that i was so thrown when i noticed that there's magical realism (i ended up loving it tho).

Sun was one of my most highly anticipated reads this year, especially after knowing both Gauri and Michelle absolutely adored it! imagine sneaking into his dorm to ask for help when you turned invisible and you see an old picture of you and him taped to his desk? i wish we got more moments of them together but honestly it’ll never be enough cause i’ll always want more but the bonus chapters did serve though and i ate it all up alicehenry you’ll always be loved by me ! As much as I want to gatekeep Henry🥹🥹, READ THIS BOOK RIGHT NOW IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE THAT CUTE, LIGHTHEARTED HIGH SCHOOL MAGIC. Chanel was also a great character, she was so nice and friendly and seems like she would make a great friend, but none of these characters are real which pains me to type out.

her inner thoughts and feelings were also so heartfelt and im sure a lot of people are able to relate to her character <3 i adore her she deserves everything and more! OF COURSE HE HAS AN ENGLISH ACCENT, LOOKS LIKE LITERAL ART AND HE’S SMART- SMART ENOUGH TO WIN JEOPARDY SMART😩!
