I can see / smell the resemblance to Oud Minerale, but it's missing the salty sting from Oud Minerale which is what makes Tom Ford's fragrance unique. I liked it but much preferred the 2008 Dior Homme Sport (masterpiece) at the time, so my ex took the Aqva for herself! Think about it, you ever noticed how sitting in the bathroom taking a dump, you quickly stop noticing your own brand? Definitely my favorite of the Bvlgari Aqva line next to the discontinued Amara, which I personally thought was the most realistic aquatic fragrance of all time.

Nobody will dislike smelling this on you, although it might come off as a bit "gym bro" to some people.

Needs to be hot weather to get the most of the short projection, and if any the only downside of this fragrance.What makes this fragrance worth owning, what it's narrative really is all about, is a combination of wearability with a respectful naturalism; the perfumer has tried to give an accurate yet livable rendering of the sea, and has achieved something of the feeling of a seaside retreat. It lasted on my skin all the way up til bed time so about 8 solid hours of longevity and great smell. It's noteworthy in that it's quite prominent, but along with the neroli, citrus, amber and cedar, it works, though I normally associate rosemary with baking.

For a second in the very opening I actually thought of 212 for Men (which is also a floral men's perfume mainly on violets). This is actually so good and refreshing, quite surprising considering it's dirt cheap and seaweed is the most prominent note according to fragrantica (I hate Calone, yuck). Aqva Marine's inclusion of the seaweed note not only adds a touch of authenticity but also transports me back to those raw, unfiltered beach experiences. The freshness to me is mostly herbal where the citruses play a rather supporting role in the composition.This fragrance is definitely marine aquatic though - sometimes designers seem to choose flanker names just for marketing purposes, but in this case I really don't think you can get any more accurate than "aqua marine. It smells like a storm, fresh air, it induces a state of reflection, as if you were standing on a rock with your hands resting on your head and your eyes lost on the horizon. Aqua Pour Homme stands for the depth of the seas, the darkness of the sea during the night and represents men's virility for sure.

The performance is really good in Singapore weather, and it projects for 6-8hrs then lasting over 16 hours with whiffs when I walk by my shirt. This perfume is so worth the sympathy it receives and there is no doubt that it will continue to receive it. Feels like it lacks something, and that might be a good thing or a bad thing, it's up to you to decide it. Longevity is good, around 6-8 hrs, with a moderate-to-personal sillage with around 3-4 sprays at the neck.

I think it will likely grow on me after a few wears, but initial thoughts are that it's linear and boring and doesn't have a great deal of depth. The performance on the whole Bvlgari Aqua line has been fantastic and considering they are alll fresh aquatics the 8 hour plus performance in each fragrance is shocking. My most used and complimented fragrance, it has been my signature for many years even before getting more into the deep end of fragrances.
