I've only used the Swift, which I'm pleased with, but I did consider the Nao+ too. The review on here of the Swift a couple of years ago had a thread with some comparisons with the Nao+, which I found quite helpful in making a decision. Ergonomic adjustable headband adds stability in dynamic activities eg. mountaineering, trail running, skiing Stuff it doesn’t have? Any sort of red light front or rear-facing – bear in mind the headband is reflective – any programmability, which I honestly didn’t miss given that I had as much or as little light as I wanted at all times. And the option of a remote battery box for really cold conditions. If you want those, look elsewhere, maybe at the bulkier, clunkier NAO+ which also has a more glove-friendly control system. The complexity of testing the exact timings of the SWIFT's burn time because of RL don't necessarily make this aspect of testing any easier, but having put the SWIFT's battery in the freezer overnight its power was seemingly unaffected (or, if it was, then it was barely noticeable). As such, this should allay the fears of anyone looking to use the SWIFT RL through the colder and more miserable months of the year (which just happen to be the darker months of the year too). The Swfit is said to be “weather resistant”. This is not waterproof although I have taken the torch out in Scottish rain and it seems to remain operative. So I am pretty blind/clumsy and having a nice bright head torch has done wonders for me. I have had a SWIFT RL for about a year and I thought it was brilliant. However, the battery life was not the best which I found out whilst descending off the Cuillin ridgeafter getting rather lost.I have unfortunately somehow misplaced my SWIFT RL and before I bought a replacement I thought perhaps the NAO+ might be a better fit for me because of the better battery life. I was wondering if anyone had/used both and couuld compare them for me? Is the NAO+ about as bright SWIFT RL (I know on paper SWIFT RL is brighter) in reality, is the beam pattern similar and the colour of light? I should also say that I normally use it in the reactive mode which I have found very useful. The reactive lighting sensor is the circle to the right of the main light 3. Due to its output the SWIFT RL requires a larger battery than its cousin the ACTIK, hence there is no compatibility between the two - something that may annoy some of our audience. However, when you think about the SWIFT's greater lumens and burn time, it's quite clear why. The SWIFT is providing a heavyweight amount of lighting within a lightweight and compact exterior.
