In a world that seems keen to ditch cables, wireless charging is enjoying a growth in popularity and in technical development. Manufacturers like OPPO, OnePlus, and Xiaomi have been pushing wireless charging speeds to new heights with 30W and even 50W chargers, in an attempt to catch up with the ever-growing fast wired charging. I'm always looking for ways to cut down on the number of things on my desk. That's exactly what this product from Monoprice does. It's an LED aluminum desk lamp and wireless charger put together into one space-saving solution. The LEDs get plenty bright, and you can change the color temperature or brightness via touch controls on the base. The lamp is adjustable vertically, but I do wish the base were heavier, because it tends to move when you adjust the arm. The 3-in-1 MagSafeWireless Charging Stand boasts a sleek, yet sturdy build that stays stable on any surface. With stainless-steel legs and an aluminium build, the wireless charging stand adds a modern and elegant touch to your nightstand or desk. The issue when buying wireless chargers isn’t the cost, but actually whether they are Qi-certified or not. If it’s got a Qi-certified stamp on it (the Chinese word for “energy flow“, do you get the metaphor?), then you know it’s got the charging standard stamp of approval by an electricity safety board to not start sparking and overheating as soon as you use it. Not all phones support wireless charging, but most brands have models that do, so look up your phone model first. Compatible power adapters for up to 15W faster wireless charging

You can charge at up to 15W on most iPhone 12, iPhone 13 or iPhone 14 models if you have a 20W charging plug at the other end, which fortunately I do. However, if you own an iPhone 12 mini or iPhone 13 mini, then that's limited to 12W. That's still faster than basic Qi wireless charging though, and it remains just as convenient no matter which model you own. Qi is the global standard for wireless charging. We recommend always looking for Qi certification because it includes independent safety and efficiency lab tests. If you see vague wording like "works with Qi" or "Qi compatible" it's a dead giveaway that the device isn't certified. Proper Qi chargers will have wide compatibility and safeguards to prevent overheating. Every option in our list is Qi certified.
