Aside from the direction of the brushing, it's clear that the steel case is a rip-off of the Q, with an identical shape and proportions. While not original, it does mean that the watch fits thin wrists very well, with no overhang despite the hooded lugs. Around the internet you will see many people, whom know very little or nothing about dive watches, recommending and posting lists about the best dive watches, etc, etc, and many of these watches on the list are water resistant to 50 or 100 meters. Those are probably fine for splashing around in a pool, but not for scuba diving. I am not one to typically repeat watches from the same watchmaker, let alone product line, but when a brand carries as much weight as Omega I am willing to make an exception. The Omega Seamaster Diver 300M, ref. 2252.50, in 36mm, is very similar to the Omega Seamaster we mentioned earlier.If you still feel that the 36.25 mm model is too big for you, don’t worry. Omega offers an even smaller 28 mm (1.1”) model. But if there was one aspect of TAG Heuer that they are most known for outside of the watch enthusiast community, it is definitely their entry-level luxury watches, many of which come from their Aquaracer line. This line of dive watches covers the entry-level luxury segments and is available in several sizes and color iterations.

Oris is getting up there in terms of being a luxury watch brand, and you’re going to pay for it. Not as expensive as Rolex or Omega, but pretty close. The Aquis is thier flagship dive watch. It features a Swiss movement, and has all the bells and whistles you would want. Earlier this year in June 2022, Breitling unveiled an entire new generation of Superocean watches. Drawing their aesthetic inspiration from the cult-favorite Breitling Slow Motion diver’s chronograph from the 1960s and 1970s, the new Superocean watches forego their predecessors’ chronograph complication altogether and reimagine the model as a simple three-handed sports watch with plenty of water resistance and a distinctly vintage overall design. Rather than being an addition to the existing Superocean lineup, the new vintage inspired models were introduced to replace the previous generation of Superocean watches entirely, and this particular decision slightly puzzled some collectors. Prior to this latest release, buyers who wanted a modern Breitling dive watch could opt for the standard Superocean range, while those who wanted a diver with vintage styling had ample options within the Superocean Heritage collection. Now, all Breitling dive watches are more-or-less vintage inspired, with the standard Superocean drawing its inspiration from the 1960s and 1970s, while the Superocean Heritage is based on the very first Breitling dive watch from 1957.Maybe I am partial to the greens of this shade because it reminds me of older divers, but I can’t help but smile when the watch is lit up. The color fades after maybe 10 minutes but remains visible for some time. Case, Bracelet, and Movement Any list of dive watches would feel incomplete without a selection from Omega. Known for their innovative movement technology, strong historical provenance, and value for money compared to industry leader Rolex, Omega is a brand that needs little introduction. As you can see, there are plenty of high quality, stylish dive watches that look good on smaller wrists. It boasts all of the luxury qualities you expect at this price point including a crisp bezel, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, beautifully applied details, and a Swiss automatic movement. The revered Seiko SKX may be the most produced dive watch on the planet. It certainly has a cult following and has a ton of after market mods you can make to it. I have one and I love it. But it’s a pretty beefy watch. Seiko smartly came out with the SKX013 which is much smaller than the original SKX. I love when watchmakers do this, obviously there are a lot of different size humans on the planet, not everyone can wear a 42mm dive watch.
