Overall, I have a lot of fun playing this game.It’s almost always a hit with a crowd. Plus, the creative artwork, with 220 illustrations, also adds to the experience and the production quality of the game. In When I Dream, players take turns as the Dreamer trying to guess as many secret dream words as they possibly can. The Dreamer wears a blindfold (or otherwise covers their eyes) while every other player offers clues, one at a time, during a 2-minute round. Overall, this game is a lot of fun and one that I like to keep in my bag when attending a board game night. Night has fallen and you've entered the land of dreams. You're fast asleep however, the Dream Spirits want to have some fun... they're making your dreams turn pretty surreal! The When I Dream Board Game is an imaginative and entertaining game that can be enjoyed by all ages. It’s premise is simple yet original, perfect for casual board game nights with friends and family. Players take turns being the dreamer while the others play as the other players in their dreams, trying to guess what they dreamt based on their ambiguous recaps! With its unique design, this game might be a great choice for those looking to easily bring fun and creativity into your home.

It’s similar to Taboo or Code Names, but it has a twist and offers some unique gaming elements. Given its simplicity, I’m surprised by the brainpower it takes to play this game effectively. Players cannot say a clue that is part of the word on the dream card. (For example, you cannot say “prince” if the word is “princess”). When giving clues, if a dream spirit cannot think of a word, they can say “pass”. If a player takes more than 5 seconds on a clue, they are automatically skipped. When I Dream, by Chris Darsaklis, is a real-time party game for between four and 10 players that plays out in roughly 30 minutes. The game takes place in the world of dreams where each round one player (the dreamer) attempts to recount elements of their dream using clues given to them by the other players (the dream spirits). Players score points depending on how effectively they fulfil these roles with the ultimate goal being to accumulate the highest score.At the end of the round, the dreamer must use the words he guessed and story-tell his dream for extra points before he opens his eyes. If there is a difference of two or more dream cards, they score one point for each card on the side with the fewest cards. I highly recommend you push past this first hill, because once you get rolling you’ll have a lot of fun. Being blindfolded (or covering your eyes or turning away, as some players just feel too uncomfortable with the mask) allows you to focus on the clues you are receiving and forget about other things. At its core, When I Dream is a simple party game that is easy to teach yet has lots of replayability. Introduce different themes for each round of play. Themes could include steampunk, outer space, fantasy, and more. Spyfall arguably revitalised the genre, though games like Mafia and Werewolf have been around a long time in one guise or another. But I have a dirty secret - I don't like Spyfall. Despite this I'm still excited for what When I Dream promises to bring to the table, and the ways it will hopefully avoid my Spyfall bias. When I Scheme... Clarification: As the Dreamer mentions the cards of their dream, the other players can slightly rotate the Dream cards to help during scoring. 2. Count the PointsIf the Dreamer is confused and has no ideas, they can skip the current card by saying: "Pass". The card is then placed on the Blue side of the board. If there is a tie, the player with the fewest penalties wins. Where to buythe When I Dream board game Boogeymen score 1 point for each Dream card on the Blue side of the board (wrong and/or skipped answers). Boogeymen will not know who the other boogeymen are. However, they will likely be able to identify each other within the round.
