Description

Full instructions are included with each box of 12 sachets – 3 months supply. You simply empty one sachet of FDC™ Flexible Denture Cleaner into 235ml of warm water and allow to stand for 3 minutes. Rinse your denture under running water before placing it in FDC™ solution for at least 15-20 minutes each day. Alternatively for added convenience it is safe to soak your denture in FDC solution overnight. Flexible dentures also have a higher starting price than acrylic, so they are unlikely to be offered by the NHS.

Soak your Valplast appliance in Val-Clean or FDC for 10-15 minutes a day. Some appliances may occasionally need to be soaked overnight. Store brands of denture cleaners are not recommended for cleaning a Valplast appliance, as they are not effective and may contain ingredients that can damage the Valplast or its colour. Loose particles can be removed with the use of a Sonic Denture Cleaner or by placing the appliance under running water. Brushing a Valplast appliance is not recommended as this may remove the polish and roughen the surface over time. Toothpaste and toothbrushes may scratch or dull the surface of your Valplast appliance. We recommend the use of the Flexible Denture Brush as it will not harm your Valplast denture. Be sure to remove your Valplast restoration whenever you brush your natural teeth. If possible, rinse your Valplast Flexible Denture after eating to remove any food particles. Keep the partial in water or in denture cleaner whenever it is not being worn to keep the surface hydrated. Please keep the appliance out of reach from pets. Dogs and other pets find dental appliances to be attractive chew toys. You'll be glad to know that most patients become immediately accustomed to their delicate and light-weight Valplast ® restoration. However, you may experience a brief adjustment period, especially if you have never worn a dental appliance before. Should you experience any persistent irritation, please consult your dentist so that he or she can make necessary adjustments to your appliance.This commenter, who at the time of writing this review was still getting used to their denture, was extremely happy with it. Another commenter has both upper and lower partial flexible dentures and is also very pleased with them. She says that she can now chew nuts on both sides of her mouth. Flexible dentures are only available to those needing partial dentures, which is a bit of a disadvantage if you need full dentures. And, if your mouth changes shape as you get older, or you lose more teeth, flexible dentures aren't easy to adjust or reline. So, although Valpast dentures are durable you may need to pay for adjustments or have them remade in the future. The use of toothpaste may scratch or dull the surface of your appliance. Be sure to remove your appliance when brushing your natural teeth.

Not only because they are much more comfortable, but because they are much more durable than acrylic dentures. Keep your dentures out at night as much as possible. This will prevent you from having thrush in your mouth. Thrush thrives in moist environments, therefore keeping your dentures out of the mouth at night is the best way to prevent getting it. Do not use bleach containing products as this will discolour the acrylic dentures and corrode the metal on cobalt chrome dentures You cannot get flexible dentures on the NHS as standard, but they may be offered to patients who can't wear traditional dentures, perhaps because of allergies or another reason. You'll need to discuss this with your dentist; ultimately they will decide which type you are eligible for on the NHS. I've had one since January for one of my top front teeth and got on great with it. Easy to fit and clean, and looks very natural. It's stable for eating and comfortable. Keep the partial in water or in denture cleaner whenever it is not being worn to keep the surface hydrated.
