After hours on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, the hotel hosts a subterranean jazz club, Jassmine, for hotel guests and regular punters after a nightcap and a slice of Warsaw’s thriving music scene. Busking violinists, jazz troupes, soul singers and choirs are always dotted around the city’s Old Town – even the public benches play Chopin at the press of the button. The rooms are spacious and functional, which is a luxury itself. Even the most luxurious of Venice’s hotels don’t have the largest rooms just because of the nature of the buildings. The king size beds are comfortable and the Canal facing rooms have a superb view of Venice. The Colosseum is vast and when you understand the history, terrifying. As you walk in through one of the entrance arches, the sheer scale of the ancient building becomes apparent. The Romans built such a civilised building and used it in the most uncivilised of ways.

Where to stay

In 1967, The Rolling Stones came to Eastern Europe – the first major Western band to cross the Iron Curtain – while touring their new album Between the Buttons. They played a legendary gig at Warsaw’s Palace of Science and Culture – a much-derided gift to the city from Stalin. The night after the first of two shows, the band and several hundred locals partied at a raucous bar in the Old Town, before continuing their celebrations down the road at one of the city’s most beautiful hotels: Hotel Europejski, a neo-Renaissance palace first opened in 1857 which has hosted everyone from Robert Kennedy to Marlene Dietrich and which came under the global Raffles banner with a significant refurbishment early last year. Don’t linger too long at Oxford Street, because your next stop is Covent Garden. This is a gorgeous little space in the heart of the city with quaint little stores, restaurants, and cafes. However, you’re on a time limit — which is why we recommend experiencing it via a bicycle. You can rent a Santander Cycle , which is stationed all around Hyde Park’s many exit and entrance points, for as low as two British pounds. This way, you can enjoy the magnificent views the park has to offer without sacrificing too much of your time. Hops & Barley is a craft beer bar that is known to produce great local craft beers and is a hot favourite location for the young (and young at heart) to hang out. There are usually 4 microbrew options and cider on tap. Prenzlauer Berg district 10. Eat a “Currywurst”

This is one of the best things to do in Rome at night, living la dolce vita and admiring the city without having to move from your chair! Enjoy a Romantic Meal (or just eat some pasta or pizza with your mates!)Berlin is well known for its creative scene that attracts many small and big name artists, musicians and actors from different parts of Germany. They all swarm into the city with the hopes of making it big or just to connect with like-minded. Take note that most shows in London start at 7:30 p.m. and the TKTS Booth closes at 6 p.m.. Be sure to get there on time to avoid disappointment! Tip: The underground visitor centre offers public guided tours, which last about an hour and a half and are free of charge. 5. Potsdamer Platz Villa Borghese is a delightful landscaped garden right in the centre of Rome. The gardens cover an area of 80 hectares and were developed in 1606 by Cardinal Scipione Borghese, who wanted to turn his former vineyard into the most extensive gardens built in Rome. Oxford Street is famous for being THE place to go in London to shop. Here, you can expect to see high street brands such as Zara, Topshop, and more, sprinkled in with a few of London’s homegrown shops, such as Hamleys toy store.

While you’re there, visit Carnaby Street , a vibrant shopping street in the heart of Soho. The shops themselves can be a little pricey, but you’ll be taken in by the colourful signs and modern decorations amidst the classic London architecture. 6. Wind down at Covent Garden Now that you’ve got London’s main attractions out of the way, you can begin to explore its more quirky and hidden gems. Shoreditch is a great place to visit: it’s home to many hipster cafes, thrift shops, street art, and more. Are you planning to visit London? That’s great — it’s undoubtedly one of the most vibrant, dynamic cities in the world, and you’ll find yourself with plenty of things to do. (Spoiler alert: many of them are free .) Our first stop was to the city of ancient Rome to visit the unmissable Colosseum, just one of the reasons why you should visit Rome. The sky was blue and it was 2pm, were were in Rome! On the Viale Trinita Dei Monti, which sits above the city, you will find incredible views of the rooftops of Rome. We just had to go for the incredible view and take some photos. Surely one of the most iconic skylinesin the world, the view is spectacular with all the domes of Rome, from the Vatican City to the Pantheon, shimmering in the very distinctive Rome light, that just makes everything look so Roman!!

What to see
