Calpol Saline Nasal Spray is a non medicine nasal spray that provides gentle congestion relief to babies and young children. Sometimes babies younger than six months will get the “snuffles”. A baby is usually snuffly because they have a build-up of mucus in their tiny noses and narrow nasal passages and can’t clear it themselves. If your baby seems otherwise well, it probably has nothing to do with an infection.

This product can be taken alongside CALPOL® Infant Suspension if pain and fever relief is also needed Before using for the first time, prime the pump by actuating 5 times. Once primed, the pump will normally remain charged throughout regular daily treatment periods. If the spray is not ejected during the full actuation stroke, or if the product has not been used for longer than 7 days, the pump will need to be re-primed with 2 actuations. Bronchiolitis - This infection affects the lower respiratory tract – part of the lungs. It’s quite common in children under two and can result in a runny nose. It usually starts off like a common cold before developing symptoms like a slight temperature, dry and persistent cough, difficulty feeding and rapid or noisy breathing (wheezing). The saline works by softening and loosening hardened nasal mucus, helping it to clear from the nasal passages. This helps the child breath more easily and makes it easier for them to feed and sleep.Laterally actuated pump (Khone): The laterally actuated metered-dose spray ensures that the solution is well distributed over the surface of the nasal mucosa by spraying a fine mist.
