The overall feeling I got from this cordless drill is that it’s all a bit underwhelming. The design is unremarkable, and the grip isn’t the best. There are a couple of little features like the direction indicator that look good but don’t add to the performance. The drill isn’t very responsive, and the uninspiring drilling speed makes for slow work. One of the big power tool brands, especially in the UK, Bosch have a decent slice of the market with their two broad levels of equipment. Their “blue” professional tools and “green” DIY tools vary massively in their capabilities as well as cost. I think it’s fair to say that the PSB 1800 fits squarely in the green DIY camp. Bosch PSB 1800 is lightweight thus making the task easier than ever. The battery-powered drill machine holds a lithium-ion battery with fast charging capability.

This combi-drill performs superiorly in drilling and screwing. It is in-built with a two-speed gearbox to provide you with high speed and torque effortlessly. It helps both screw and unscrew operation effortlessly. Being lightweight is one of the advantageous features which makes the drill more handy. The nicely designed hammer drill is featured with 20 pre-selectable torque. It creates a great impact on drill settings.

As always with Bosch the warranty that comes with the product is 2 years which once activated online becomes 3 years, this really does finish the product off nicely. Bosch PSB 1800 Accessory Set The grip shape is fine, but it’s not as refined compared to the ones on the Ryobi R18PD3 or the DeWalt DCD796. Bosch have been a bit stingy on the rubberised sections as well, as the tips of my fingers are trying to grip on to hard plastic during use. It’s just not as comfortable as some of the other cordless drills on my list. I would highly recommend it for the extremely good price compared to retail stores. No faults with the last one for over 9 years so you can expect this to be the exact same reliable all round purpose go to drill. 10/10 Seems identical just tiniest bit lighter smaller with the exact same feel as the original. And I believe it will compare identical in use though the specification for example 38 NM of torque to it's predecessor of 48 NM Torque with extremely small difference in revolution speed of 400-1350 and previously was 400-1650 min-1 please see pictures. If anything, the grip is a little on the small side. I’ve got large hands, and the bottom of my palm started rubbing on the battery release button surround almost immediately. I don’t know how comfortable this will be over time, and I don’t think it would be great to use with gloves on.

The PSB 1800 fits into the DIY level, which means it’s a capable drill but not designed for heavy everyday use. The fast charger only takes 1 hour to make a full charge. You can interchange the batteries for a longer operation. The Syneon Chip manages the battery power and provides the power you need. We have reviewed combi drills from Makita, Bosch, DeWalt and many more. We wouldn’t say that the Bosch PSB 1800 is the best drill we have ever reviewed. These clever Power for All batteries can push the business end of the drill to a maximum drilling speed of 1,350 rpm. It’s not class-leading but it’s fast enough for most jobs. In hammer mode, you get a maximum of 20,250 bpm, which is the slowest of all the combi drills I’ve tested and reviewed. The 38 Newton metres of torque it puts out isn’t beating any of the bigger name brands on the list either.The battery-powered well-designed hammer drill is very much convenient to use. It comes with two lithium-ion batteries with a fast charger. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. You get a decent case and two batteries to play with. These two Power Alliance batteries can fuel a range of tools by different brands, which is remarkable in the age of proprietary systems. It’s a good place to start as long as you don’t expect this cordless drill to perform like one of Bosch’s Professional level tools. The drill machine has multiple torque settings for each and every situation. It helps to manage the turning power of the drill driver.
