The Nightweave cards are well illustrated on the back but lack the great artwork of the other types of cards on the front with just text present (Figures 6 +7).

Spirecrest is an expansive and challenging new expansion, sure to surprise and delight even the most seasoned of Everdell players.When playing with plots and ploys they will sometimes offer you the opportunity to foil them by paying resources and cards which most of the time you want to do.

At the end of the game any achievement cards that were collected (by modules) will be played into their city along with seeing if any one remaining basic event can be achieved and added to their victory point pile. Nightweave ignores the effects on cards and builds up to 15 cards in their city but if they have an open slot on any cards you may visit these locations giving them a victory point. Ever since starting my blog Table for ONE back in 2019, I've rarely looked back and regretted any of my previous reviews.Unlike the previous expansions Pearlbrookand Spirecrest, there’s but one edition of Mistwood to be had. Now, this is the point of the introduction where you might rightfully ask yourself why on earth I underwent such a rather radical conversion of opinion. Much like how you as the solo player goes about adding cards and expanding your city, so too does Nightweave. Her large pawn token will take up a space in the meadow, and she has additional spider workers that she’ll use to cover up player actions throughout the game. Thus, you don’t have to worry about getting what essentially amounts to half the content of the crowdfunded edition (I’m looking at you Pearlbrook…).

The Monks of Mistwood have recorded the tales of heroes past and present, including stories of Everdell’s founder, Corrin Evertail, and other legendary figures from the Emerald Valley’s timeline. But Nightweave also prepares for season like a human player so sometimes you can stall and wait for the workers to be collected to access the locations you need.This comes through in the solo game, I would say particularly well when using the plans and plots especially with the foil meaning you are outsmarting Nightweave. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. This alone makes for such a rich, more nuanced Everdell solitaire experience compared to the old solo mode. But deeper within the wood, a mysterious threat has been patiently waiting, making plans and sinister plots… Will the fair valley survive the webbed takeover of the clever spider Nightweave and her army of spiderlings?

Even better than the personalities, at least in my opinion, are the other two modules: Plans and Plots, both of which are means by which Nightweave influences the game to her favor. The new legend cards function to a similar manner to the collector’s edition legend cards with you being dealt one critter and construction at the start of the game.
