In general, the characters' pains, fears and feelings made them relatable, and their journeys and development were amazing and very well worked. Besides, I love how Cal made it clear that he wanted to get better not only for Lana and Cami, but for himself—for him to be the man he knows he can be, a man that deserves them. It showed how much he'd grown and it is the best development his character could've had!

Knowing the genre well, Asher has a lot of fun with it, giving the audience exactly what they were hoping for with it. That’s not to say there aren’t plenty of unique surprises of its own, too, as she gives it her own spin with her own voice. The two central characters themselves feel very distinct as well, with the audience rooting for them both the whole way.

Also, I need to mention that Camila Theresa Castillo is, as previously stated, a star! Cami’s the cutest, funniest and smartest kid there is. I loved seeing her scenes, seeing her the way she talked to and manipulated people (lol, poor Cal, he honestly never stood a chance), and, most of all, I love her relationship with her mother and her relationship with Cal—the amount of girl dad energy he gave and the father-daughter energy they had from the beginning were insane. Lauren Asher: I always knew I wanted Cal and Lana to reunite, but the idea of how wasn’t decided upon until I got around to writing his story. Originally, I was headed in the direction of another office romance but a last-minute idea I bounced off my mom turned it into the small-town romance. Even the addition of a cute child and an overbearing town could not save Final Offer from itself. It is beautifully written, but the plot fell short for me.It has plenty of spice in it if that's your thing, for me I ended up skimming some of it as it was repetitive. But if this is your thing you won't be disappointed. As for the couple, it is so easy to love them. They are both hurt from their past and can’t let it go, but at the same, they can't stay away from each other. Even while they’re trying to shut down their feelings for each other and to put some distance between them, fearing for the worst, it’s impossible not to hope for them to get together—not when their chemistry and interactions always feel so light and natural. Their fears—mostly hers—and hesitations are totally comprehensible and fair—which led to some painful scenes, but also made it delightful to see the way they both worked hard and put effort in making things right this time. If you don’t recognize Lauren Asher’s name, you might recognize some of the books she’s published including the Dreamland Billionaires series and the Dirty Air series. Both of these are widely popular and beloved, but the Dreamland Billionaires series holds a special place in my heart. Always looking out for exciting new ideas to help inspire her next novel, she’s always taking inspiration from the world around her. Visiting numerous different restaurants in her spare time, she’s got an active imagination when it comes to creating different novels. Still writing to this day, she’s got a busy schedule with more books and series planned for release in the near future. What I do like is that Asher does portray the FMC as a strong, no-nonsense woman and not some wash out about what she does and doesn't expect from life. I like that her work is well written and descriptive with well rounded characters. I enjoy the pace and the slow burn plus the tension build up between her enemies-to-lovers trope. With this Asher excels. I will be reading other work by her at some point in the near future.

The Dreamland Billionaires series has been one that I had wholeheartedly enjoyed. I read Fine Print a few years ago, and love the relationship between Zahra and Rowan. I waited months for Terms and Conditions to be released and went in with so many expectations and ideas about how I wanted the book to go. And although I enjoyed it, my expectations had not been met. I'm the Kane brother everyone gossips about -trust fund brat,washed-up athlete,high-functioning alcoholic... No one knows the real me but her. Lana Castillo - my childhood best friend and the only woman I ever loved, until I broke her heart six years ago. But now, my grandfather's will changes everything. To receive my inheritance, I was tasked with spending a summer at the family lake house before selling it.Turns out Lana doesn't just live at the house, but she claims to own it too. All I can say is CALLAHAN PERCIVAL KANE. Like don’t get me wrong, I love Declan and Rowan, but I knew that Cal would be my favorite Kane brother since we saw so much of him in Terms and Conditions.

I did feel like there were a few pacing issues. The middle part seemed to drag on and then the ending was over in a flash. There were also a lot of huge events that were glossed over in the epilogue that left me feeling a little blindsided. First all can we talk about how I love how the book touched on love and struggling with an addiction. I think it can help someone who has either dealt with this in life or has someone who's struggling with an addiction and how they can cope. Final Offer doesn’t feel like a conclusion to a series. It feels a like a middle book. When the book eventually did conclude, it was underwhelming. However, the romance does shine with outstanding and memorable moments with Cal and Alana. Those moments are sparse and mixed between drawn out events. Being the heir to his family’s media empire, Declan is the CEO of a major legacy, but his grandfather’s will stipulates that he must marry and have an heir of his own. His assistant Iris then volunteers for the job, and the position seems simple at first; get married and have a baby together. They’re not supposed to fall in love, that is until a passion between them both begins to grow, one that they desperately try to fight off. Will they both end up together finally, is Declan going to continue his family’s legacy, and just what are the terms and conditions? Final Offer did start off on a high so high that I giggled because I assumed this was going to be my book of the year. Cal and Alana were going to be great, and the top couple of the series. I spoke too soon. The high unfortunately doesn’t last that long.

For the final book – Final Offer, I tried to keep my expectations low. Even with low expectations, I finished reading the book and felt a little disappointment. Final Offer wasn’t a terrible book; however, for a book ending this trilogy I expected it to go out with a bang.

Once again, I’d like to thank Lauren Asher for sitting down with me. As someone who has read Final Offer, I will say that this is easily the best book of hers yet. You’ll have to wait until Tuesday to find out my thoughts on the final Dreamland Billionaires book, though.
