Wonderful creatures, sights, smells and experiences meet him on a journey to where ‘ Ocean Meets Sky’, just as his grandfather promised. The writing is fairly sparse, which makes me a bit annoyed that it couldn't have been polished to perfection.I was at my last school for 4 years and we had ********* book fairs every term – and every term, I was disappointed by the narrow range of books. Born in Hawaii and raised in Toronto, he attended the Ontario College of Art and Design, where he studied illustration, sculpture and f? This book is that perfect combination of imagination, whimsy and a sense of myth grounded in reality. I have never read a storybook quite like Ocean meets Sky and it is one that every child and adult should read at least once in. They would also only drop off a case of books and leave us to run it – it was so lovely to have you on hand to chat to the children and recommend them books, as well as the small (but appreciated! While it is never explicitly stated that Finn's grandfather has passed, and never says that Finn misses him, my son understood. It also has illustrations of other creatures and items that appear where ocean meets sky that are done up in gold. Yesterday a parent came over to tell me how impressed she was by the book fair and that you did a fabulous job of selling the books to the children first.

Each stage of the journey is beautifully illustrated in serene, glowing colours, full of detail and delight. Bronnie is so lovely with the boys and we also felt that having a man enthusing about the books set a great example.
