After years of waiting, the BBC and ITV finally launched Freesat, a subscription-free TV service offering over 80 TV, radio and interactive channels broadcast from the Astra and Eurobird satellites. It’s available to 98 per cent of UK households, bringing digital TV to people who aren’t covered by a Freeview signal or don’t want Sky. So this is a little embarassing but the upshot is I now have two working Humax. I did try the system flush before but assumed it wasn't working. However, as I soon found after delivery of the replacement Humax that both of the PSUs were working fine I began to be suspicious as to the thoroughness of my original troubleshooting. As it turned out, reading the instructions properly really helps and I was using a NTFS format USB not a FAT32 format when trying to flush the system. Once this was rectified, the system flush worked like a dream so for the benefit of other people looking for help in the future, definitely give that a go having read the instructions properly before you either a). despair or b). spend any money on bits.Even in non freesat mode there is no option to add a new satellite. I will look into the Radyon firmware update. Also your file says converted mine one says "unconverted". Perhaps that's the issue but if the conversion is only audio related, I can't see why it doesn't play without sound. You will not need it the Humax settop app in the latest CF archive is stable and has been since the last update in 2016 to fix a non recording capability for the red button olympic channels during the London Olympics. So as a PVR you get to do all the cool things with live TV – pause and rewind within limits, so if you need to answer the phone you can simply pause. Under Setup, you can configure the installation settings, perform a Freesat Tune, Manual Tune, update software and restore the receiver to its Factory settings.

I used to ftp for T2 in the past but didn't find it much improvement so at the moment all I am doing is copying and pasting from Foxsat to external usb 3 drive. Extremely slow Filecloud.io (who are now ezfile.ch it seems)- the location which the custom firmware is located, seems to be flakey/down. Don't know if this will help you, but I have my Foxsat HDR set to power on at 12:30 pm and off at 12:40 pm each day, set on CH HD (5001) Select Yes and press the OK button to restore all setting to factory default. To return to the previous menu, select No and press the OK.Picture quality is generally impressive but far from perfect. Just to prove it's OK I've just scanned the Tp on my Foxsat-HDR and it's 100% in HD, 1080i, DD, has the 4HD logo and is showing an upscaled Frasier You’ll also find an optical digital audio output that allows you to connect the unit to your AV receiver and listen to Dolby Digital broadcasts found on channels like BBC HD. There’s also an Ethernet port that isn’t enabled at present, but in the future will enable you to access IPTV services (such as BBC’s iPlayer), plus the USB port can be used to upload software updates. This gives lots of extra functionality eg a Web Interface , Streaming, enhanced File Management etc and includes the last release of Humax's last kernel, v1.00.21, for the Foxsat HDR.The HUMAX doesn't see the Ethernet info via DHCP, I've added the info manually and it doesn't seem to connect.
