Daredevil was relaunched in 2019 by writer Chip Zdarsky and artist Marco Checchetto, who would remain on the title on alternating arcs with other artists. Frank Miller’s run on Daredevil was effectively a “reboot” in the terms we use to describe comics today. In his run he methodically deconstructed Daredevil’s origins, replacing his rogues gallery and redefining his supporting players. He turned Daredevil from another Marvel do-gooder to an urban vigilante fighting for both his city and his life in a bloody, adult run. While Daredevil is busy taking down Mayor Fisk, who’s guarding Hell’s Kitchen? Typhoid Mary takes her shot at claiming the Burrough… and comes up against some surprising resistance. I’d note that Civil War takes place during this Brubaker and Lark run. Helps explain the dueling Daredevils.

I really don't have too much to complain about with this first omnibus of Brian Michael Bendis' Daredevil run. The art is almost exclusively done by Alex Maleev, which seems to be rare in many ongoing runs, and is something I can't praise enough. It really suits the tone of the book as well as the story itself- of which there is a lot to love. I found myself particularly enchanted by Sammy Silke (and all the mob stuff in general), the case of the White Tiger, and the eventual return of the Kingpin. Not collected. #138 is the middle portion of a crossover with Ghost Rider #20. Collected in Essential Ghost Rider, Vol. 1 Collects Daredevil (20110 #1-27 & 10.1, Amazing Spider-Man #677, Avenging Spider-Man #6, and The Punisher #10 The Man Without Fear: An updated Daredevil origin story that is very good. My only complaint is that Elektra is supposed to be around college age and she looks like a 60 year old with bad plastic surgery. Collects Daredevil #133-143; Annual #4; Ghost Rider #20; Marvel Premiere #39-40; material from Ghost Rider #19This omni starts off with a 2 part story with spiderman in which spiderman becomes blind, so daredevil helps out.
