Despite being some of the coolest Mandalorians, Ahsoka episode 5 marks the first time Mandalorian super commandos have appeared in live-action. This is mostly due to the fact that very little live-action Star Wars material has covered content from The Clone Wars. Another reason they’ve never shown up is the in-universe short amount of time they existed. Darth Maul ruled Mandalore for less than a year, and while there were many Mandalorians who chose to follow him, most of were captured or killed during Ahsoka and Bo-Katan’s Siege.After the Mandalorian Civil War, the New Mandalorians led by Duchess Satine Kryze adopted and created a pacifist society, a sharp turn from Mandalore's warrior culture.
