If you are dip dying, when you want to tie and dye in more than one color, start with the light color first. For example if you are thinking of dyeing your fabric with yellow and violet, dye with yellow first. Finish the dyeing, curing, washing, and drying. Now move on to dye with the next colour But the rainbow may be too obvious for some folks. You can opt to go with the following psychedelic colors combinations instead for a colorful explosion. These are highly contrasting colors, usually five or more. Therefore, mastering color theory and dye placement is key to achieving the best color combinations. Feel at liberty to experiment starting with two primary colors and adding more as you go. Happy tie-dying!

Pull the pinched fabric up to a point, and smooth the rest of the shirt down to create a skinny cone shape. In these cases, you can always twist and ball up the T-shirt again to fit with its original tie-dye patterns so that the fabric dyes can fit inside the lines that you have created with the bleach.
