Jessica Martin, Manson Reed, Lucas Bent, Jason Roth and Vincent Volkov can do no wrong in my eyes defending them forever 🫂 bundle them up and keep them in my pocket.

Jessica realizes in this book how the town sees them, and now that she is hanging out with them more, she sees them as who they are, which is why it’s hard for her not to stay away. The game they’re playing is slowly changing into something more,and they all struggle with their budding feelings,because it’s only meant to be temporary. Somehow, out of all the paths of destiny she could be drawn toward, this was where she ended up yet again. My husband says I would leave him a heartbeat for a vampire that looked like Spike or Angel (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) or Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries.And if you needed any more convincing to read this book, here are some of my favorite quotes but I am not saying who said what… So enjoy, believe me I definitely did.

The one night of wanton abandon Jess experiences in The Dare is nothing more than an appetiser in comparison to the full course meal of kink, love and self-exploration we are treated to with Losers: Part 1! There’s so many layers to them and Jess played a role in slowly peeling them off of them one by one. I have missed Manson and dove into this book for him but ended up loving all of them, especially Lucas. So imagine my joy when I saw that not only has Laroux followed up, she's turned the story of Jess and Manson into a full-scale RH, with the addition of Jason, Lucas, and Vincent.Usually especially when there’s multiples I always have a favourite but I love each boy so much I just couldn’t possibly do it 😩 these boys have imprinted in my heart so damn much. when the point of view shifts, i can’t tell who is talking to me through the little pages on my phone. In my opinion Jaclyn did a better job even when narrating the boys point of views in Jess's chapters and the audiobook would have benefited from her reading it all.

They have a tangled history - she bullied him in school, though he didn't exactly lie down and take it - and he sees the opportunity to take his revenge on her by daring her to do whatever he wants. A while back I read Harley Laroux’s short story The Dare about Jessica, a former cheerleader and prom queen who’s reunited on Halloween with her onetime victim, Manson.He had every right not to trust her because of what she did to him in high school and the others and how she had ghosted them three years ago. Our hatred for each other couldn’t keep us apart, not even when my own mistake got Manson expelled and made me the ultimate villain to the rest of them.
