Donner DEP-10 is an entry-level digital piano that is designed to provide a great playing experience for beginners and intermediate players. In terms of all the different extra piano features, the Donner DEP-20 was also the clear winner. It has a bunch of different playing modes and superior polyphony, all of which are incredibly important in just about any piano out there. You can select an accompanying rhythm and tempo, while you play the keyboard. The metronome function has 4 types of beat you can choose from. Metronome is a pretty basic function, but it’s especially helpful for beginners who find it difficult to keep the right rhythm.

The Donner DEP-10, on the other hand, doesn’t have this feature. This is largely because you won’t really need to adjust the touch sensitivity on semi-weighted keys, which is a huge point against the DEP-10. The DEP-10 has a simple yet elegant design that would look great in any home or studio setting. The keyboard features 88 full-sized weighted keys, providing a realistic piano-playing experience. If you are in the market for an economical piano to get a young student started on, the DEP-10 is a decent choice. While we wish it had more tones and more weight, it will suit beginners just fine. Donner DEP-10 Overview Since the Donner DEP-10 only has semi-weighted keys it is a much cheaper option. Having semi-weighted keys also has some benefits, especially for children who are learning to play the piano. For really young students, fully-weighted keys might be too heavy, and in that case, semi-weighted keys are a good choice. These three modes are very useful for novice and beginner pianists. Lesson mode in particular is very important for beginners as it allows your teacher to play along or demonstrate techniques to you without crossing over. The main piano sound has an authentic enough feel, especially for beginners. You definitely feel you get more than you paid for, as much as the main sound is concerned.
