If you’ve installed cabinet restraint wires, you can change the angle by changing where the restraint is attached to the door or the cabinet. Titus hinge angle restrictors limit the opening angle of cabinet doors and prevent damage to door or any adjacent object. These restrictors allow your door to open at a 90° angle, this allows you full access of the door without the door hitting into your wall and damaging it. The restrictors are complementary insertion pieces for all Titus 110 and 170 hinges and are very easy to mount. Blum actually makes two different limiters, one for the standard 107 degree hinges and the 110 degree Blumotion hinges.

You don’t want your cabinet doors to hit each other because it can damage the door or the knob and will also make a surprisingly loud noise. Cupboard door restrictors are fitted to the inside of a cabinet door and can be used to restrict the door from opening up past 90 degrees.

i was hoping something simple to install that does not require routing of the actual door (since this is made of cheap MDF and is unlikely to router very well - and in any case I don't have a router!I have been using the inserts and the plates with the cams and nylon dowels ever since they were introduced. I quickly discovered that cabinet doors opening too far and banging into each other is a super simple problem to solve. I changed our back door to outward opening , much better with the extra space it frres up inside , outward opening front doors are just odd though . We opted to go with the cabinet door restraints because I read that there are some issues with the hinge restrictor clips only being compatible with certain types of hinges. However, there are a few things about it that have me scratching my head, wondering “what were they thinking?

I'm sure there are some other options for a restrictor but I can't just think of what the technical name for them is at the moment, it would have a slide bar mounted to back of the door and not look the best and also be a little more expensive than just using a small chain as a restrictor. When used on a 110° hinge, the door opening angle is reduced to 80°, and on a 170° hinge, the restrictors limit the opening angle to 135°. If your cabinet doors open wider than 90 degrees, they might be hitting the side of the cabinets next to them.I thought they made a restrictor which you can screw on the door and cabinet to stop the door opening so far. Also, the trash pull-out can't be moved any further to the right because of the plumbing for the sink. The wire remains the same length, so changing where it attaches will change how much the door can open. Slide-in stoves with large handles are the worst to anticipate and I will go to a showroom to see them on display whenever possible.
