Zach was such a sweetheart, and was so protective of Izzy, and I loved that. Izzy’s relationship with her dad was also so cute! There really wasn’t much drama between our couple, making this book low on angst (and high on laughs! I laughed out loud several times!). I foresee myself re-reading this one many times in the future as a fun mood booster. Fate took almost everything from me, but at least I still had my brother, and Saint, my best friend and hopeless crush. Everything about this story warmed my heart in the best way, and I cannot wait to dive into Meghan's book, because she is one spicy lady which I loved from the first moment she was introduced on Sleet Kitten. Zach's maturity and emotional depth actually pleasantly surprised me in this one as well. I was really ready to read how Zach's relationship issues with his parents and his hard childhood meant he would never be good enough for Izzy and he could never fall in love as this is the exact formula I've seen with similar male leads in other books but no, Zach was all in for Izzy and ready to love her and I loved it. There are steamy scenes as their relationship develops into something more. The author used a dual point of view for the reader to understand both characters’ feelings. The suspense added flavor to the story leaving the reader craving for more.The fragile, pathetic kid I used to be is dead and gone. I love the way Saint’s jaw drops when he sees me, like I’m a ghost from his past. Henry: My parents have given me a firm deadline: marry by forty, or they’ll choose a wife for me. As the Viscount Lisle, I’m not in a position to disappoint my family. But I also don’t intend to marry for anything other than love. When I meet a gorgeous musician, it seems like I might not have to choose. Now why did she not finish this book???? Well...I’m glad you asked. This may not be a deal breaker for most people but it’s something I find annoying as hell. Throughout the book SJ Tilly weaves a beautiful story of two people with the best intentions who have been burned in their past trying to make it work (also a lot of Zach chasing Izzy which I LOVED, where do I find men like these?? I want to sign up!! 💜)

Then he talks to her dad. It is just hot guy, alpha guy, sweet guy gold. Izzy's dad melted my heart and his interaction with Zach and Izzy is one of the best parts of the whole book.

We get some glimpses of what her story might be throughout this book and in the epilogue…and I have a feeling this one will be my favorite of the trilogy! I LOVED that Katelyn had the Sunday brunch with the girls, Meghan, Steph and Izzy and that they were all so supportive of one another. Leonie: Handsome, cultured—and a nobleman? There’s no way Henry Grey would be interested in a woman like me. Even if I was his type, I’m sure he’ll marry someone of the same social standing as him. But it can’t hurt a girl to dream, right?
