I enjoyed seeing Annie and Will navigating and working through what they thought they wanted in life for reasons entirely rooted in circumstances/trauma from the past. I binged this book in a few hours and could not put it down. SARAH ADAMS YOU BEAUTIFUL SOUL. This was an incredible read filled with heart, finding your path, laughter and all the LOVE.' ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ I would elaborate, but now the only thing swirling around my brain is the reproductive cycle of flowers (which I find deeply fascinating), but I have a distinct feeling that John is not the type to marvel at life science. So I clamp my mouth shut again. Will doesn't believe in love after suffering from years-long dysfunctional relationships of his own parents. And Annie is a full commitment girl who wants to survive through a date without making her significant other bored to death. But she realizes she is more than a boring, inexperienced wallflower. Will helps her explore her restrained true identity and her adventurous side. But what if Annie doesn't want to date any man instead of her brooding coach, who is a cinnamon bun hiding behind a rough facade? And what if Will breaks his strict rules and opens his heart to true love? The relationship between Annie and Will is sort of a slow burn, without the 'burn' part, but there is also an instant attraction between them, which we are very aware of every time they talk or just see each other. I missed a more gradual progression and the excitement of 'will they, won't they'. I mean, obviously they will, since this a romance, but Annie's "I only want to get married" and Will's "I never want a relationship" didn't carry any weight here.There is so much to love about Practice Makes Perfect. You have a great small-town romance with adorable side characters, a strong family and a great friend. You have a really fun relationship coach storywhere the hottie bodyguard signs up to “teach” the sweet flower shop owner how to be comfortable on dates who ends up giving her all her firsts. Sarah writes books that truly make me smile. They’re kind and hopeful, playful and feel-good. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT was all of that in spades.’ CHLOE LIESE The best thing about their love story is that they did everything not to hurt each other.
