The sand doesn’t do very much for your grass, it’s mostly there to help you get an even spread. But the iron sulphate has a huge impact on the lawn. When the grass is dry – Applying lawn sand to wet grass will just make it clump and won’t lead to an even spread. You’ll see a much better result when you apply lawn sand to dry grass.
