Getting rid of weeds the eco-friendly way Moss starts growing as the rains start in late autumn. At this application rate, one bag will cover approximately 570 m². Unfortunately, with most herbicide-based weed killers, the effectiveness will be affected by external factors. This includes the weather conditions at certain times of year, the specific weed you are trying to eliminate, and the life cycle of that weed.
