AproDerm Emollient Cream is a daily moisturiser and pre-bathing emollient which protects, moisturises and soothes dry, red and inflamed skin. Suitable for eczema, psoriasis and other dry skin conditions. Frequency of application will be determined by severity of the condition and whether more than one emollient is being used. As a general guide it is recommended that AproDerm ® Colloidal Oat Cream is applied as often as required as well as during and after bathing to alleviate the drying effects of bathing. Paraffin free, so is suitable for those patients in whom paraffin containing products are contraindicated or for those who want to use a paraffin free emollient As with all emollients, before applying AproDerm ® Colloidal Oat Cream for the first time, patients should test it on a small area of skin and leave for 48 hours. If there is no reaction or irritation they can then apply all over the affected area. This limits any potential reaction to a small area. Recent research shows that oats have anti-aging properties. This is due to the beta-glucan found within them as it stimulates the production of collagen which, smooths out any fine lines and wrinkles. Apply the cream liberally to the affected area and smooth gently on the skin, following the direction of hair growth. Do not rub in the cream as it can irritate the skin. Use as often as required or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.
