As she starts killing her way through the harsh men of London, she meets a man she falls in love with. Summing up, the whole women’s safety episode (at night, while traveling alone and a woman having to take things into her own hands) was great, but vividly graphic accounts of all the gory stuff, and Kitty’s personality did leave a bad taste. I haven’t stopped to ponder why, other than the story rocks on at a great pace, is highly modern with its use of social media – for example, her friends are introduced by name and then in brackets by their number of followers. But interestingly she rejects to inherit the bloody family money and staying away from meat products. and life just becomes too much again and I take more drugs and drink some wine this time and soon it fades away again.

If you’re as hooked as some of Kitty’s victims, then the first thing I’d do is warn your husband or partner that you’re reading this book. I know you’re not supposed to judge a book by the cover, and I totally have been burned by this, but in this case it worked for me. Kitty Collins, 29 and an Instagram influencer living the high life of leisure with her three closest friends; left a grandiose apartment in Chelsea, after her meat processing business entrepreneur dad disappeared and her mum emigrated to France, she hasn't date for awhile, oh and she kills men, well, just bad men, and gets away with it. Daddy issues from her cold and aloof father teaching her that the cast of Charlotte's Web makes for good eatin'? And despite considering herself intellectually superior to everyone on the planet, Kitty surrounds herself with vapid, shallow friends from similar wealthy backgrounds.How To Kill Men And Get Away With It by Katy Brent is like a twisted thriller version of an episode of 'Friends'. I’m not sure if Katy Brent wanted to produce anything other than something darkly entertaining; however, How to Kill Men does challenge stereotypes and evoke questions about accountability and who has the right to be judge, jury and in this case executioner! If you don’t mind your stories on the dark side and like the sound of a female Dexter, How To Kill Men And Get Away With It is probably a great fit for you as well! Kitty might be known as popular IT Girl, a very famous influencer, spoiled elite but she has darker side that she doesn’t share with her social circle!

You will find bits of dark comedy, serial killer thriller and romance all mixed together into one delicious bookish cocktail, and there are many different elements incorporated into the plot.

Kitty is also the daughter of a pig slaughterhouse owner, spending her life watching pigs grotesquely meet their end. Did I totally take my Bookstagram photo in my firm’s law library/coffee bar surrounded by a bunch of dudes standing in line for their afternoon pick-me-up from the fancy barrista machine? Some of the murders (I almost wrote executions, for that is what the avenging dark angel of KC is) would surely have been unravelled by the police or forensics, but why let science stand in the way of a good story? Further, if one goes to see the crime rate, it will show the male population as the highest offender and even in this, so many go scot-free due to a lot of irregularities in the justice and legal system. The main character was happy living a vapid life despite knowing it was vapid and there was more out there.

I’m not certain if this was supposed to be reflective of Kitty’s general sociopathy, or that it was a point that could have used more development, but it was always present and it added to the overall tension. I've been trying to come up with any aspects that I liked about this book, but I seriously couldn't think of anything.I highly suspect that a lot of people are not going to like this book because they will not find Kitty likeable. lover of all good things in life, bit of a snob (that’s being kind) but knows she is and accidental killer and before you know it, whoops, there goes another one.
