The best of all is that we can choose the parameters at will in each of them and use them whenever we want independently. I run at 240hz (because its better than 280hz) + without ELMB (because I heard its good only for 200+ fps, also it hurts your eyes - ) The grainy look and bad uniformity, and low PPI was so bad that i literally had to sit beyond visual acuity distance to mitigate its effects. Both use the same AO Optronics AHVA fast IPS panel but there are differences. THE Asus is 8 bit while the MSI is 10 bit(8 bit+FRC). Which means the MSI will have an emulated 1 billion colors vs the asus at 16 million and MSI monitor will have less color banding(color inaccuracies) and less color uniformity(color variances). The AHVA IPS panels are probably among the worst IPS panels when it comes to colors, but if it doesnt' have dithering, it will have a lot of color inaccuracies and color uniformity. This can be fixed with a professional color calibrator but even then, the color uniformity will get in the way. The Asus TUF VG279qm has by far the WORST colors I have ever seen for an IPS panel and i ranked it dead last among the 240hz panels whereas i ranked MSI mag251rx as 2nd place(the LG 27gn750 in my opinion had the best colors). viewsonic elite xg270 by a landslide(tuned by chief himself), the least crosstalk and super clear image. Rivals that of the #1 ranked MPRT monitor ASUS at 280hz

Can you help talk me into the 251RX? Had a buddy return one since he said he couldn't take the low brightness and poor colors, unless he just received a bad panel. Right now, I'm leaning towards the XG270 to dual with a S2719DGF. The wide viewing angles will also make sure that the picture stays perfect regardless of the angle you’re looking at the screen. I currently (before competitive gaming priorities) got into the latest best screens for looks alone. Input lag and motion blur/etc.. simply wasn't in my bag of caring in the games I played. So I got overly use to OLED 4k, Retina Screens, etc.. I'm even the pay to get calibrated type of guy. My stuff looks sweet !

The same way if you have an HDR monitor, yet if you can't even get an HDR signal in windows, then you aren't able to use the "HDR" of that monitor if an HDR signal cannot turn it on. To defend the XG270 Vs XV273X, both reviewed by Rtings, is needed to say that whit XG270 only show 8 bits in this test.
