The release features an exact reproduction of the Grunt 1977 edition of the LP packaging including a reduced scale reproduction of the original booklet and inner sleeve jackets for the CDs. Have You Seen the Stars Tonight" a dreamy number, compatible with say the last two tracks of Marrying Maiden, hippie ambience. Milk Train" and "Keep on Truckin'" are just nice rootsy rockin' acoustic folk/blues, maybe compatible with the vibes the Dead were putting out round those times.

It also contained a detailed history of the band, written by Patrick Snyder of Rolling Stone magazine. Verdict: if you get all five classic sixties studio albums and all the tracks mentioned above, you'll have an unbeatably respectable Airplane collection. Although primarily a compilation album, the album includes one previously unreleased song: "Please Come Back" written by Ron Nagle and performed by Jefferson Starship. However, it sounds as if the master tapes had been damaged on at least three songs, and significantly obvious on the introduction of "Silver Spoon".

The Jefferson Starship song "Please Come Back" was previously unreleased, and remains unavailable on any other official Airplane-related release. The audio quality is as good as the original master tapes available for the Japanese LP pressing and features JVC K2 24 Bit Remastering. Rounding off well with the slick rocker, "Ride the Tiger", a hint of their future direction as the more commercial Starship.
