But from what we have observed using this method, the result is quite good. But of course, it is completely up to you what you decide in the end. I use a microfiber cloth to clean my camera lenses, eyeglasses, and my Speedmaster 3573.50 all so far with great success.

For example, a "microfiber" cloth can be waterproof which makes it useless as a towel. The same fibers, can be weaved, however, into a waffle weave pattern which makes it soak up water like crazy. Then (again following the advice of forum members) I rubbed a cotton bud/q-tip on the Cape Cod cloth to impregnate it with Cape Cod solution then rubbed this over the scratched area. This allowed me to give the watch a "buff" and remove any small scratches caused by the more abrasive Cape Code Cloth. Then (following the excellent advice of other forum members) I cut off a tiny square of Cape Cod cloth from the big piece of cloth supplied. I placed this on the end of a cotton bud/q-tip which I then used to polish the scratch. This allowed me to control the pressure and area I was polishing with precision.I have an old 3M lens cloth which is awesome with a small waffle weave battern and when slid over my hand feels rough as it grips the skin. I tried it on the PCL of a TT although it sort of removed some scratches but it seems to leave behind micro patch of scratches that can be somewhat visible under certain lighting showing a faint white area where the cloth was used.
