The overly simplistic dialog between Amy and Ryan, the light-romantic tone, and the lacking maturity level of these two main characters are all strong examples of the YA genre. The midsection of the book is devoted to fantasy/magic realism of sorts with a new theory thrown in. I finished the bookvery quickly as I was always wanting to know what was going to happen and there are plenty of surprises and twists on this journey.

The characters are likeable and there is a bit of intrigue in all of them until the story unfolds toward and unforgetable ending. Each print is mounted in an off white mount to 40x50cm, which will fit a standard metric frame size. I listened to an audiobook version and the found the voice of narrator, Braden Wright mesmerisingly suited to the story. I’ve written a children’s book about a wayward, mischievous dog that’s been illustrated with over 100 amazing pictures by Karl Whiteley, and hopefully that should be out sometime next year.

Then there’s Ryan, who is caring for his ailing father and trying desperately to save his horse ranch, which is in dire straits. Amy, who has just hit adulthood and left her teen years behind, was recently struck with the unbearable trauma of losing her beloved mother to a tragic car accident. The topics explored tug at your heartstrings, and Seabrook is a very heartwarming place the reader will likely appreciate their stay in.

Author Christopher Parker has created a cozy (with ominous undertones) village in Seabrook, making the coastal locale a character in its own right. Circumstances seem to push them together constantly, and there are little things that don't quite add up. When I first started reading, I wasn't sure where we were headed but further into it, I couldn't put it down.
