We decided to bin the tent when we got home but it has not put off the Wife so we got a new Gelert Horizon 6 to go out with next time. Whilst in the new forest it rained one night and some of the next day and we stayed very dry in the tent, the top cover kept the rain off. We found the top cover was a snug fit but did the job well. As long as you tie it to the middle before pegging you get a perfect even fit (i forgot to tie it first time much to my partners annoyance when he couldnt get it even LOL) Firstly, please note that the photograph as shown in the Argos catalogue (and above) is NOT the 9-berth. The photo shows more than one entrance (which is the 12-berth version); the 9-berth has just the one entrance (as detailed in the specs below). I write this because it definitely gives a false impression of what it is you're getting when you go for the smaller 9-berth version. During the course of our testing, all the tents experience heavy downpours, wind and muddy conditions.

I got one of these cheap second hand to see if the Mrs would take to camping as she has never done it and she didn't want to spend too much money just to find out she hated it. The one I had was huge, it did not look like the other ones I've seen as mine had a dome middle with a bedroom either end. We got the tent up in no time (30 mins max) but we did have a practice run at home to see how it went up and to make sure everything was there. Just as we got it up it started to rain but the tent looked ok and had no leaks so was well pleased. The first time I used it was just outside Brighton, me and the dog.With my son and his friend in other small tents on the next pitch.It is so easy to put up, completely idiot proof. You simply can't get it wrong. The front porch bit was big enough to put the coolbox on one side and the general big camping box on the other so I had the full space inside for my sleeping bag and clothes etc. I'm only 5ft4, and it wasn't tall enough to stand up in, but I didn't really find that to be an issue. It didn't feel cramped in any way. Air circulation might not be your first concern when tent shopping, but it can have a major impact on your comfort. Hi Elaine, I would never compare a Pro-Action tent to a Coleman Weathermaster, that would be like putting a wendy house up against the Taj Mahal hahahaha. Unfortunately with this tent you really do get what you pay for. The material is very thin and when it rains you can feel the mist coming through. The bedrooms are on the small side, it is more a 4 berth than a 6 and you cannot stand up anywhere in the tent although there is just about space for a small kitchen area and enough room to sit down on the floor in the middle area (no good for chairs).The groundsheet doesn't keep out any wind or rain so you feel like you want to hibernate in the bedrooms in poor weather. Was very easy to put up, we have never put up a tent before so the instructions helped a lot, and were very easy to understand. The porch area was very useful for shoes etc, no room for chair etc, but good for shade in the sun.

We camped over a week at two locations with 4 adults and 4 children. I hadn't camped since the Scouts but setting up and taking down the tent was reasonably straight forward due to the colour coded poles and simple design. A bit of 'jiggling' about is required to get the whole structure straight and even, although the more experienced individual will probably find this easier. Living space was ok for a family of 3 or 4 but would not want to have 6 in the tent as this would be a tight squeeze, the sleeping areas were roomy enough for 2 adults but you would not want 3 in there unless you were all 'VERY' close to each other. For the price score, it seems pretty obvious, but we’re basing the score on the price of the product against competitor products or even alternatives from the same brand. For example if we find another ProAction product at a cheaper price than ProAction 6 Man 2 Room Tunnel Tent, but we feel they’re of similar quality, we’ll score the cheaper product higher. ProAction 6 Man 2 Room Tunnel Tent review score We have lovely friend who have all donated camping equipment and materials our way which included a massive gazebo and windbreaks and using these we managed to make ourselves a lovely cosy little home for our camping trip. (hopefully I will be able to upload the pics and you will see what we did). This allowed us to extend the tent and have a little outside area. The second time I used it, it lashed with rain and was quite windy during the night and I was completely dry and cosy - well, at least until the very wet dog sneaked in!On the second day it lashed down with rain and the tent started to leak on the seam where the bedrooms hang, it then started to run down the bedroom netting. Small or poor-quality air vents will lead to a hot, stuffy tent and lots of condensation build-up on the ceiling. This is a perfect tent for first time campers, copules, teenagers and lone campers. It is fantastic value even if you pay full price. We loved and had a Pro Action 9 man tent. It was not called a 'Canberra when we got ours and only had 1 main entrance and 3 bedroom openers.The Canberra I believe is a totally different tent. To get the quality score, we’re looking at a number of factors, but typically we’re studying the brand of the product, the warranty included and basing it on what customers have to say about the quality.
