You guys are such a force for good and I am a passionate supporter of Indie booksellers, so I'm so happy this worked out well (I'd love to know how many books were sold if you have it to hand - it felt like quite a lot! The chapters are not too long but if sharing with the very young or those with a shorter attention span, you could read the text yourself and then summarise it for them. Following each chapter is a Christmas or winter craft, many of which relate to the events of the previous chapter.

The sense of adventure isn't too keen as Winston makes acquaintances with some pigeons, a cat and a rat. I haven't charted out my visits for the summer term, but I'm sure there are several in the south) and thanks so much for being so fantastic!This flapped paperback features a festively foiled cover and artwork on beautiful paper, making it the perfect Christmas gift. He has a lot of Very Exciting Adventures on his Very Important Mission and makes some wonderful friends along the way. My kids adore Cyril and Pat – a gorgeous story about friendship and we made this Cyril and Pat craft to go alongside it. The illustrations were so beautiful and made me enjoy the book so much more than if it had just been writing.

Partly because I wanted to be able to judge them and partly because T loves to do crafts and was eager to make almost everything all at once (we did not do what he wanted).

If you count down to Christmas or like seasonal stories (or both), then I highly recommend How Winston Delivered Christmas. How Winston Delivered Christmas channels all the excitement of an advent calendar into a wonderfully warm and affirming seasonal story. My daughter has already been making loads of Christmas crafts (she’s five and already has a thing about Pinterest) and my son loves chapter books for a read together before bedtime. The book itself is absolutely gorgeous and beautifully illustrated – I’m so excited about sharing this with my own children on 1st December!Even though Christmas is over, I can't say that this didn't help spread a shred of Christmas spirit or cheer.
