PJ & Duncan are a British pop-rap duo from Newcastle upon Tyne, England. They formed in 1993, as a result of the popular British children's TV drama series, "Byker Grove", in which their two characters were involved in a music-based storyline. When the two actors left the series, they retained their characters' names and subsequently launched a successful pop career, beginning in December 1993 with their debut single, "Tonight I'm Free".

PJ & Duncan, who were later rebranded as Ant & Dec, began their musical career in 1993 with the release of the single " Tonight I'm Free". This was followed in 1994 by their successful debut album Psyche, which included the single " Let's Get Ready to Rhumble". Their second album Top Katz (1995) was less commercially successful than Psyche although all its singles reached the UK Top 20. PJ & Duncan were rebranded as Ant & Dec after they first started moving into TV ( The Ant & Dec Show) in 1996, resulting in 1997's The Cult of Ant & Dec, their final album, which reached 15 in the UK charts. Their label, Telstar Records, decided not to renew their recording contract in 1997, and their career in music ended there. They reunited for live performances in 2000 and 2013 and for a single, " We're on the Ball", in 2002. A whole new cast of celebrity campmates will be ditching their creature comforts for a life lived under the stars; where collecting stars is once again key to earning food for camp.The song was the duo's first single since their 1997 release " Falling", after which they had decided to end their pop career and move into television presenting. They resurrected their musical career for CD:UK in 2000, for a one off performance of " Let's Get Ready to Rhumble". Their success with that performance led to "We're on the Ball". Tony and Nigel face a drinking Trial in the Scarena that sees hosts Ant and Dec and their fellow Away team campmates in fits of giggles as the duo attempt to down the various liquid offerings in today's Trial - DOWN YOUR SORROWS

El Tel recorded a double A-side with little-known indie band, Rider, with one terrace-friendly chant version and another Frank Sinatra-style swing version. It was down to Ant and Dec to deliver the results and, there was one in particular that was met with anger from the audience - young singer Immi Davis not getting through.
