The Captain also has a picture of himself on display. Discuss. I based the dinosaur’s pirate galleon on a model of this ship. This almost life size replica was built for a TV series about Frances Drake made in the 1960’s (I know, look at my dress). It wasn’t strictly speaking a pirate ship, but to us it was, and seemed thrillingly real! I particularly remember being fascinated by the captain’s cabin, the sloping, curved walls, the furniture, the pictures and equipment, maps and telescopes… In fact all the details!This poop-filled extravaganza is brought to life by the preposterously talented illustrator Garry Parsons, and the brand new sea-shanty rhythm is perfect for reading out loud. These books are very well done, you can't help but put on your best Pirate voice whilst you sing a shanty or loudly 'ROAR' when the Tyrannosauraus Rex makes an entrance (which, after months of reading still makes my daughter jump in delighted terror!). The narrative and comic style illustrations are witty and engaging and potentially 'darker' than your average younger childs book, but deliciously so.

Play Anytime, Anywhere: Our game is an offline game, meaning you can embark on your pirate adventure without the internet. Pantlaza uses the new Discover mechanic, which is a lot like the MTG Cascade keyword. When a dinosaur enters the battlefield or your control (or Pantlaza herself ETBs) you exile cards from the top of your library until you hit a nonland card with mana cost equal to or less than that creature’s toughness. You then – crucially – get to decide whether you want to play that card without paying for it, or place it into your hand. Later, in a reply to another comment about the tweet, I mentioned I’d particularly enjoyed the research and detailing in this particular illustration, and that started me thinking… I know details can be a great way of adding depth, description and atmosphere to simple text, and children do enjoy peering at, and spotting things in pictures. But also, if an adult is reading to a child, it’s good to have detail that can be interpreted, or ‘read’ by them too, and passed on to the child in, “What d’you think that is?” type exchanges.

Kinjalli's Sunwing is very useful to people who play at an LGS that still lets people play Felidar Guardian combo. It's pretty good against creatures with haste, also.
