The Ballistus Dreadnought is a variant of the standard Redemptor Dreadnought that serves the Adeptus Astartes as a fearsome ranged weapons platform armed with a versatile Ballistus Missile Launcher capable of unleashing Frag and Krak Missiles and a devastating Twin-linked Lascannon, the perfect counter to heavily armoured enemy monsters and tanks. Lazarius ( Silver Skulls) (KIA) - Lazarius was a Redemptor Dreadnought of the Silver Skulls Chapter who was part of the strike force that fought to save the Industrial World of Drevaris from the invading forces of the T'au Empire. Along with their Sons of Guilliman allies, the Silver Skulls fought a devastating battle with the T'au, and Lazarius was killed by the T'au Commander Novastorm. Worse still, the damage Lazarius suffered caused his Redemptor Dreadnought to explode, which killed several nearby battle-brothers of his Chapter. Smashing the Emperor’s enemies apart with giant metal fists is about as fun as it gets in the 41st Millennium, but do you know how you can have twice as much fun? Simple, have twice as many fists . And now that the Chapter foundries of the Space Marines have discovered this blessed truth, Strike Force Agastus comes with a shiny new Brutalis Dreadnought. The Assault Dreadnought replaces the standard Dreadnought's ranged weapon with another Dreadnought Close Combat Weapon. These Dreadnought variants are an uncommon sight within many Space Marine Chapters due to the fact that removing the Dreadnought's ranged weapon arm means it forfeits its ability to engage ranged targets. This, when combined with the Dreadnought's relatively low ground speed means the Dreadnought will be very vulnerable to enemy ranged fire. These types of Dreadnoughts are used by Space Marine Chapters that favour Drop Pod assaults, such as the Blood Ravens Chapter, dropping the Dreadnought directly into the enemy's position where they can do the most damage. The term Assault Dreadnought is not a common name, instead most Assault Dreadnoughts have no special designation. A choice of either a pair of Brutalis powerfists with twin bolt rifles or a pair of Brutalis talons

Gideon of the Adamant Fist ( Deathwatch) - Gideon of the Adamant Fist is one of the few Redemptor Dreadnoughts serving in the Deathwatch. He has had an immediate and spectacular effect on whatever mission or battle he has fought in. He has already been recorded as a hero of the Deathwatch in the annals of his watch fortress.The legs can be freely swapped from left to the right, as they have mounts on both sides and are identical (with the alteration of the angles). Once again, you can cut away certain elements for different poses. However, the Brutalis Dreadnought can also be outfitted with Brutalis Fists which hit with the force of a thunderbolt and come with built-in, wrist-mounted, twin-linked Bolt Rifles for added anti-infantry firepower. The Dreadnought's twin-linked Icarus Ironhail Heavy Stubber teaches enemy aircraft not to seek safety in the skies and ensures that it is not an easy target for the foe's airpower. Though the Dreadnought's Power Fist shares the same name, it is not at all similar to the melee weapons also called Power Fists used by other armed forces of the Imperium. Unrestricted by size or weight, Dreadnought Power Fists are vastly more powerful than ones carried by Imperial infantrymen, even Space Marine Terminators. The Dreadnought's Power Fist is (like the unwieldy infantry-borne Power Fist and Chainfist) strikingly effective against heavy armour. With that being said, the Brutalis is the third variant of the Primaris age walkers, if you include the Invictor Tactical Warsuit, which shares part of the design as well, but uses a still properly living marine instead of the remnants of a veteran.

Dreadnoughts are often mistaken by mortal observers for huge suits of battle armour or robots; they are similar to both and yet neither. Dreadnoughts are a combination of armoured walker and cybernetic life-support system; their pilots are neurally linked straight into the Dreadnought's cybernetic systems, and are able to use the walker as if it were their own body, although they are permanently entombed within its Ceramite skin until they are destroyed. Taller, broader and more cleverly wrought than the traditional Dreadnought design, these goliaths are powered by hyper-dense reactors and sophisticated fibre bundles. Such is the miraculous design of the Redemptor’s neural links that its inhabitant, despite being entombed in the sarcophagus within the Dreadnought’s chest, can exercise control with surprising dexterity and speed. [3] Larger and more imposing than even a regular dreadnought, the Redemptor is piloted by a near dead Primaris Marine. A war machine of fearsome reputation, it carries an array of weaponry to bring death to the enemies of the Emperor. Zachorial the Destroyer ( Deathwatch) - Zachorial the Destroyer is one of the few Redemptor Dreadnoughts serving in the Deathwatch. He has had an immediate and spectacular effect on whatever mission or battle he has fought in. He has already been recorded as a hero of the Deathwatch in the annals of his watch fortress.Older Dreadnoughts are referred to by Space Marine Chapters as Venerable Dreadnoughts or more simply as their "Ancients". Having earned many millennia worth of combat experience, Venerable Dreadnoughts are even harder to destroy than their younger counterparts. However, as a trade-off for their knowledge, they are armed with older, more volatile and usually less effective weaponry. The final parts are the shoulder pads and the carapace mounted weaponry. The later is set on a disk, so you can turn it and depending on how you assemble it you can lower or raise the barrels to your need. Rahellion ( Deathwatch) - Rahellion is a Redemptor Dreadnought currently serving in the Deathwatch. He was part of a strike force that invaded the Ork-held planet of Gruk's World to destroy the Doomzday Bomb. In the battle that followed, Rahellion earned himself great renown by singlehandedly tearing apart the Warboss Gruk and then destroying the bomb. This, combined with the Dreadnought's own impressive unmodified strength makes the fist deadly to all, even heavily armoured foes like a Space Marine Chapter Master. Also, the Dreadnought's heavy vehicle armour means that even those that survive the initial assault can do little more than wait for the inevitable. The ranged weapons used by standard Castraferrum Dreadnoughts include Assault Cannons, Multi-meltas, twin-linked Lascannons, twin-linked Autocannons, twin-linked Heavy Bolters, twin-linked Heavy Flamers, Missile Launchers, or a Plasma Cannon. Castraferrum Dreadnoughts are also able to be outfitted with Extra Armour Plating, a Searchlight and Smoke Launchers. There has been a lot of ranting online about the design of the Desolation Marines. Personally, I don’t think it’s all that bad, but I do think that the more bulky Gravis armour would have been better suited to the oversized (and honestly over-designed) weapons. The models stay true to the Primaris design ethos of turning everything up to 11. Who needs good old frag and krak missiles when you can have SUPERfrag and SUPERkrak. Primaris Lieutenant review

2.The Iron Hands Juggernaut

Once again quantity beats quality as the grav cannon puts out the most damage courtesy of each gun getting four shots. Unfortunately the superkrak version of the Desolation Squad suffers the same problem as many similar units; there just aren’t enough shots to make it worthwhile. The heavy armour on the chest replete with flat surfaces and sharp lines, perfect for adding transfers and detail of the Redemptor Dreadnought can be modelled to pivot open, showing the sarcophagus interred within. The adventurous hobbyist can remove the pegs from the waist, arms and legs of the model too, allowing for a greater range of posing options. The Hammerfall Bunker is already armed with superfrag and superkrak missiles, so we know what they’re going to be like: superfrag fires 2d6 shots per round while superkrak is a Heavy 2, Strength 10 anti-tank weapon. Depending on points cost, these should be a terrifying addition to ranged Space Marines *cough* Iron Hands *cough*.

The Mortis Dreadnought is a variant of the standard Imperial Dreadnought and is most commonly found the armouries of the Dark Angels Chapter and their Unforgiven Successor Chapters. The Mortis Pattern differs from all other Dreadnought variants, except for the Hellfire Dreadnought, that makes use of two long-range weapon arms. These Dreadnoughts make use of two sets of long-range weapons that are always the same, these weapons include sets of twin-linked Lascannons, twin-linked Autocannons, twin-linked Heavy Bolters, or two Missile Launchers. The Mortis Dreadnought is capable of laying down a tremendous amount of firepower upon a target, and since the Dreadnought's body is such a stable firing platform it can continue moving while firing accurately.The Contemptor Pattern Dreadnought, like much of the technology developed at the dawn of the Imperium of Man, is larger and more powerful than its standard pattern counterparts and was once a key part of the earliest Space Marine Legion forces raised on Terra in the 31st Millennium to initiate the Great Crusade. Such relics are sometimes recovered as archeotech by the Imperium in the 41st Millennium and then used to supplement the forces of the present-day Space Marine Chapters. Such is the miraculous design of the Redemptor's neural links that its inhabitant, despite being entombed in a box-like sarcophagus within the Dreadnought's torso, can exercise control with surprising dexterity and speed. Yet it is whispered that the advanced systems of the Redemptor are a curse as well as a blessing. The Martian Tech-priests in the service of Archmagos Dominus Belisarius Cawl who first built these walking machines of destruction spared little thought to the health of the incumbent, seeing him as little more than another part to be interred or replaced as necessary.
