As we have been accustomed during the past year, we get forward Upper Mids here, so all your vocals and percussion have clarity, are not shy, and are delivered with a lush vibrant presence.

Both sets are relatively fatigue-free and smooth in the upper frequencies, though the BL-03 have a bit more air and treble extension. However, in this day and age, when there are many ultra-budget rivals (and even pricier sets) that still do not have a detachable cable, it is a nice touch that the Wan’er have a 2-pin cable on offer. Their limitations are seen in the untextured, bleeding, and slow mid-bass, with poor imaging, micro-detailing, instrument separation, and an intimate soundstage. Being an inexpensive set, the Wan’er are aptly named after their historical namesake, in tying in with her very modest upbringing as a retainer who got promoted all the way to the prime minister of the Tang Dynasty. However, it lacks the technicalities that brings life to tracks, and I partly believe its due to the physical ability of the dynamic driver not being able to handle the tuning that TangZu has given it.Then again it might also be contributed to the higher amount of bass on Wan’er is balancing out the treble more evenly. Unfortunately, bass bleeds into the mids a bit, not because of their quantity, but their lack of quality. The vocals of both Sam Smith and Kim Petras are clear and forceful, and even the background cow bell can be distinctly heard. However, the speed is a little on the slower side and it is not the most well controlled bass, which bleeds a little bit into the midrange but not necessarily a bad thing.

It seem they focus on single driver approach too, since all thier IEMs are either single dynamic driver or single planar driver. The lower mids are warmed by the aforementioned mid-bass bleed, adding some heft and density to the note weight.While the above so far has been decent, it is the sound section that has really impressed me with the Wan’er. for this IEMs I recommend you to try eartips rolling since it has noticeable effect on how it sounds. If we praise Tanchjim Tanya, the Waner offer superior technical performance with less excited balance, its both cleaner and smoother too. Sound​ ​ Bass​Definitely not for bass-heads, the bass here feels very daring yet fragile - shallow rumbling and punches but lacks control. No budget segment royal rumble would be complete without mentioning the big Kahuna: the venerable BLON BL-03.
