I’d recommend splitting between two loaf tins. Otherwise, the size of the cake may mean it does not cook properly in the middle. You may also need to adjust the cooking time, so keep an eye on your cakes as they bake. Does it matter with this Victoria sponge recipe if I add jam or buttercream first?
