After you put Earex advance drops in your ear you may feel a temporary bubbling or fizzing sensation. The ear wax may swell slightly as it begins to soften, which might make your ear feel full. It could also temporarily affect your hearing until you rinse the ear, and may occasionally make you feel slightly dizzy. If these symptoms persist after you have rinsed the ear, get advice from your doctor or pharmacist. This medication may temporarily sting or burn your ear for a minute or two when applied. If these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. Should these symptoms persist or worsen, or you experience any other side effects or burning, stop using drops and seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.

A hard plug of wax can also be removed by your doctor or practice nurse, by flushing the ear with warm water (syringing). If there is a lot of wax or the wax is very hard, it may need to be softened first and Earex olive oil ear drops can also be used for this. Who shouldn't use Earex olive oil ear drops? Repeat the above steps for the other ear if so directed. Do not rinse the dropper. Keeping your ears healthy and correct methods to use

The ear drops can make the symptoms of excessive ear wax worse, including some discomfort, irritation or pain, loss of hearing, dizziness and tinnitus (ringing sound in the ear). if you have a history of ear problems, unless used under the close supervision of your doctor, nurse or pharmacist. if you have had your ear syringed in the last 2 to 3 days – this could also make it painful to use the eardrops.

A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, get medical help right away if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/ tongue/throat), redness of the ears, severe dizziness, trouble breathing.if you have tried to remove the ear wax using fingernails, cotton buds or other implements. (This is because you might have damaged the delicate inner lining of the ear, leading to swelling or infection.) This could make it painful to use the ear drops. Earex olive oil drops are suitable for adults and children aged one year and over. However, you should get medical advice before using them to treat a child. The Earex Advance Drops cannot be used after 30 days of opening and after the expiry date given on the bottle. Make sure to store the bottle above 25 degrees and do not use if the seal has already been broken before use.

Do not use this medication more often than prescribed or continue to use it for longer than 10 days. Tilt the head to the side so the affected ear is facing upwards. (For children it may be easier to get them to lie down on one side.) Squeeze two to three drops of Earex olive oil drops into the ear canal and leave this in for a few minutes to let the drops soak into the ear wax. Keep the head tilted to the side while the drops are in the ear and massage around the outside of the ear. You can use some cotton wool or tissue to gently plug the ear and stop the drops running out if you need to. Do not insert hearing aids immediately after use but allow at least 15 minutes for any residue to be removed.
