The feel and look of it looked very similar to an ordinary dairy feta cheese cube, but it was once I took a bite that I could tell it wasn't cheese. Violife original flavour slices are original cheese slices that you can put on a burger or in a toasted sandwich to still have cheese in your favourite meal. At the same time, prep the sourdough, and cut into chunky slices. Drizzle with olive oil, chilli flakes, and grated garlic, with some lemon oil. Maybe I should've had this melted on a toastie or had it with something else, but if I wanted vinegar with my cheese I could've just grabbed some Sarsons. I absolutely loved all the vegan cheeses and was thoroughly impressed that they were as good as the few tries I have previously had of vegan cheese whilst eating out.What did we think? Surprisingly good! Vegans seriously don’t have to miss out. I would definitely buy this again and would be more than happy to serve it to any of my vegan friends who come over to visit. My final thoughts on the Violife vegan cheese? There are two Greek Style vegan cheese options from Green Vie: simple Greek Style and Greek Style with Dried Oregano and Olive Oil. They both offer a feta-style crumbliness and tang of the dairy version though aficionados would certainly be able to tell the difference. Violife grated tastes fine and is a good addition when you want to add a bit of grated cheese to something such as pizza or pasta. Sometimes referred to as “shredded” cheese rather than grated, this can include vegan cheese that can be used for pizza toppings and Parmesan-like grated cheese, amongst others.
