It blows up my Kampa Air Awning very quickly and to the set pressure which can be altered if required.

Bought a gale pump earlier this year, only used it a couple of times and all is ok, tend to stand it on one of our awning tiles as that does quieten it down a bit, also as Vango thought it was a great idea to put the valves on the inside of the awning that also helps to eliminate some of the noise! Once the pressure that you set has been reached, the pump will stop as it has an automatic cut-out facility. I bought the Breeze last year because I had injured my back so I persevere with it but how hard can it be to make an electric pump that is simple to use and quicker than the manual pump. Connecting the hose to the inflation point first then attempting to connect hose-to-pump sometimes I think it would be easier to rotate the entire awning! In addition, we may use some third party cookies to enhance your experience, some of these include videos from Youtube, which may not work if you decline third party cookies.

Long lead so plugged it into the 12v TV point just inside the van door ( Remember to plug it in before dragging the awning through the rail). There is ample cable to run from a standard 12v vehicle socket and the pressure limit setting is easy to use.

We have the Vango Varkala and I can inflate it in less time than it would take me to get an electric pump out of the boot and plug the thing in. We keep it because we are told it will go to a higher pressure if it's windy so the poles will be more stable .

I believe this pump has now been around for about 12 months and am looking for any feedback on its use (speed, reliability, etc) Had the Kampa Breeze which packed up after 13 months and 3 x use. To use the Kampa Gale pump, simply plug the 12V Cigarette Plug into your 12V socket on your car, set it to the required PSI pressure, hit go and sit back and watch your tent or awning erect itself. We put ours up this afto in the storage area cos I wanted to fit the Kampa 'Clingons' before our next trip and, although I didn't time it, it was only a few minutes or so. No faffing with extension leads, getting the car near enough to reach the battery / 12v sockets, no blown fuses. I have both manual and electric pumps and nowadays always use the electric one, but it probably takes longer, even for a small awning, and is noisy. It has a pressure gauge, automatic cut-off, and is very quick - inflates our Kampa 390 Grande in 3 minutes.I purchased a pump because my previous awning was a multi inflation with about 10 tubes, now I'm back to a Kampa the hand pump can do the business probably quicker as Lozzy mentions above. Someone said to me the other day (as I was bemoaning the pump and having to reverse up to the awning anyway) why don't you get a bike battery and use that? Simply plug into a 12V power source using the extra long cable, set the required PSI and let the pump take care of the rest. I have just purchased a rechargeable battery (no cables, so no distance restriction) inflater as we have inflation tow behind toys for the jetski and I very impressed with it so will try it on the air awning and may use this.I have a Kampa fiesta pro and find it doesn't take as long to blow it up manually than using a 12v pump and the kampa pump will not over inflate the tubes.
