The Corsair Voidscarred bring all the toys from their Kill Team set, taking up the lion’s share of the points but punching far above their weight with psychic powers, blasters, fusion pistols, and a shuriken cannon. The Voidreavers deploy light with a pistol and power sword each, but have the option of switching to long-ranged shuriken rifles should you be raiding an area with plenty of fighty foes like Tyranids and Orks. Use this Stratagem in your Movement phase, when an IMPERIAL NAVY BREACHERS unit from your army is selected to Advance. Until the end of the phase: If the Devastator Doctrine was active for your army during the previous battle round, you can change it so that the Tactical Doctrine is now active. One or more units from your army can start to perform this action at the end of the Move Units step of your Movement phase if they are within 1" of a Hatchway. Firstly, you have a generic hero which means if you get multiple boxes you can covert them into other options (depending on your creativity). You also get three other kinds of units which, when you consider the Votann only have 7, non-HQ units, means you will probably have a place for each of them. Alongside the cost savings that will likely come in this box, the patrol pairs decently with the combat patrol making it a good option for new or existing Votann players. Authority of the Inquisition INFANTRY units with this ability can embark within any IMPERIUM TRANSPORT model, even if that model normally only permits models with other Faction keywords to do so. All other restrictions apply normally (e.g. TERMINATOR models can only embark within TRANSPORTS that allow TERMINATOR models to do so). Throughout this section you will come across the < ORDO> keyword. These changes also update the Agents of the Imperium ability to include the new Arks of Omen and Boarding Patrol Detachments , allowing any Imperial faction to include a single unit without losing Detachment abilities or using up a Battlefield Role slot. That’s especially useful for Boarding Actions games, where you can include an Inquisitor without occupying your single HQ slot. You can include up to 3 INQUISITION CHARACTER models, but only one of them can be an INQUISITOR model. I'd expected some Thunderkyn just because of the exception Boarding Patrols made for them, plus a different HQ, but here we are.

Is the Leagues of Votann Boarding Patrol Worth it?

So many Boarding Patrols have launched over the last few months, it’s a wonder there’s any fighting left to do on actual planets at all. There’s more to come from the Arks of Omen yet, as the machinations of Vashtorr and Abaddon come to a brutal head in the forthcoming fifth book in the series – The Lion .
