Heat Dissipation: With vents on the top of the stand and design of the stand does not cover the back of the steam deck and facilitates heat dissipation. The iVoler team has been working diligently to release a 3rd party dock solution for Steam Deck for some time.

The 3 USB plug at the back is enough for accommodating multiple devices for file transfer with the Deck.After a couple hours of troubleshooting, I've found that my iVoler dock only outputs 640x480 if I plug in the dock while it's connected to power (the official Valve power adapter).

A no-frills Docking Station that just gets the job done and stays out of your way, what more could you want? After discovering Linux back in the days of Mandrake in 2003, I constantly came back to check on the progress of Linux until Ubuntu appeared on the scene and it helped me to really love it. Unless someone else that has one has solved thjs, Valve will probably not be able to help you (since it's not their product). The Steam Deck generally has some issues with being docked that require booting up into desktop mode to have more control over resolution and framerate, which of course is not an Ivoler-specific issue.Firstly though, diving into the Display Settings on Desktop Mode, I could see both the Steam Deck screen and my external monitor were detected, which to remind you is an MSI 1440p 165Hz display, and the Dock was capable of displaying the full resolution, but the maximum refresh rate I was able to select from the settings changed depending on where I was changing the settings which was extremely odd to see. You want the best: The G3 is arguably the TV available right now, and its specs and features are a cut above the rest. Other than that the only issue I have is that since the power is always on, there's always a signal on the hdmi cable.

You need faster refresh rate: If you're planning on playing 120Hz supported games like Overwatch 2, you'll benefit more from this speedy screen. It would be much better if you could just plonk the Deck onto the dock and everything was ready to go. If you don’t need two outputs, or if you’re just wanting something a bit cheaper, there’s options out there, and one of those options is what I have with me today. Augmented reality hardware manufacturer XREAL is debuting its next generation glasses, the XREAL Air 2 and XREAL Air 2 Pro today. Not that it made a blind bit of difference anyway, as testing God of War running at 1440p on its original graphics settings is nigh-on unplayable, garnering a minuscule average of 15fps.Sometimes it works if I shutdown the Deck and disconnect the dock and plug it again and even then I have to wait some seconds before it shows image on TV.

One other difference here and another improvement, is that the ivoler dock blocks none of the air intake on the back of the Steam Deck which JSAUX do. I didn’t really feel like there were any issues with the gameplay here, and quite frankly, if you were to say go on holiday, or to a friend’s house and take your Steam Deck and dock with you, it would give you quite a decent party-type game experience.

But if it doesn’t bother you, this is a great way to bring your Steam Deck experience to the big screen. The HDMI output is capable of 4K at 60Hz, but I’d be surprised if you were really wanting that kind of performance out of the Deck. Because all of the ports are around the back, it can become a mass of cable spaghetti unless you're willing to make the dock part of a permanent set-up. Every time this happened, the Steam Deck screen was set as my Primary display, and the second monitor was an extension of my Steam Deck screen.
