Drawing from numerous old writings like the ARGONAUTICA by Apollonius of Rhodes and the acclaimed ILIAD by Homer, Riordan remains consistent with the occasions and underlying foundations of the myth.

Overall, this book is another outstanding effort from my favorite author Rick Riordan to bring mythology closer to younger generations, and to rejuvenate ancient myths that have been told thousands of times.I feel like by writing this book, Rick Riordan somehow put women heroes on center stage, giving them the much deserved spots among their male peers.
