Description

Take your empty toilet roll and paint the entire surface lime green. This might take two coats of paint. Once the paint has been applied, allow the roll to dry before moving on to the next step. If you don’t want to use paint, you can also simply cover your roll in green craft card. Take your scissors and cut each kitchen roll tube lengthwise. This will create the two collars that will need to go around the base of the cress. Step two: Add damp kitchen paper towels You can keep spare cords, chargers and wires organised by wrapping them and then stuffing inside an empty toilet roll tube.

It’s one of those projects that also appeals to different age groups. My two and three year old love playing with it but it would make a great rainy day project for an older kid. Don’t overfill as the beads need to be able to move around. I smash them flat and rubber-band them together since i can’t seem to use them fast enough so Thank you for sharing other ideas and just knowing i’m NOT the few who does this is great to share with my other half who thinks i’m crazy for saving them! But then again, he doesn’t practice sustainable living much either, hee hee.. Tubes of wrapping paper are brilliant at Christmas but notoriously difficult to store. Instead of taping the ends down and wasting paper later, slide a cardboard tube over the wrapping paper to keep everything organised. Organise spare cords
